POV: Milo

Aside from a random visit from Estella's piece of crap ex-boyfriend, Jared-- that I really didn't love--Halloween, didn't actually suck.

I got to spin my hot girlfriend around the dance floor and hang out with my friends, just making fun of each other and silently-- and sometimes not so silently, judging the people we couldn't stand. Estella and Eric finished out their set and rocked the place. We tried to vote on the best costume in our friend group but we couldn't agree, so we just gave it to Miguel so he'd stop complaining. My vote went to Estella, based on unprecedented hotness, but we already knew that.

I wasn't exactly shocked to see that Chrissy disappeared shortly after Jared left. I guess revenge isn't as sweet as she thought it would be. If you're paying attention, the score is currently: Milo and Estella: three; Chrissy: zero...unless you count the time that she "canceled" me-- then she gets, one. But Estella crushed her so hard after, and that we don't even register it as a "win".

Driving home from the dance, I looked over at Estella and she looked completely wiped out. Her eyes were heavy and her mouth kept falling open in soft yawns.

"Watch the road, Milo." She scolded me with a chuckle, as I was quite obviously watching her from the driver's seat.

"Stop being so damn cute, then!" I clapped back, with a shallow laugh.

"I'm literally just sitting here, not doing anything!" She groaned.

"Did you ever watch a hamster yawn?" I asked, expectantly.

"Uh...yeah." She replied, in confusion.

"Somehow, watching you is cuter!" I expressed, determinedly.

"You're too damn much." She chuckled.

"Me? Princess, you're the one putting us in danger with your adorableness. What am I supposed to do? I'm just a dumb, horny wolf!" I countered, jokingly.

"Milo, my shampoo makes you horny." She quipped, dryly.

"And I refuse to apologize for that!" I retorted, with a wink and a smile.

"I'm afraid to even ask what would be like, your deepest, darkest, fantasy." She continued to tease me, in a sassy tone.

"Girl, you are my deepest, darkest, fantasy." I clapped back, with a chuckle.

"I always did belong in the shadows." She drawled, in a sultry tone.

"That's where I found you." I shrugged, with a smile.

"I was gonna stay in there forever, too." She sighed, returning my smile.

"Eh, I thought you could use some Sun. You were way too pretty to hide in there all by yourself." I continued our strange metaphor.

"Do you realize, that you told me I was pretty within like 10 seconds of our first conversation." She laughed. "I mean, did you take a class to reach that level of rizz?

I chuckled back,
"Nah. I just read people really well, I guess. I figure out what buttons to push." I expressed, shooting her a sly glance.

"Yeah? Were you thinking of pushing my buttons, Milo?" She teased me, biting her lip and smirking.

"Every single one, Princess. The second you walked into that damn school." I replied, in a seductive rasp.

"What was it, my shiny, welcoming grin--that did it for you?" She quipped, sarcastically.
