DEAN STOOD OUT IN THE JUNKYARD, LOOKING UP TO THE SKY. He had just finished screaming once again for the sixth time that night, trying to get Castiel to talk to him. He was desperate in in need. He felt alone. Utterly alone. After Bobby and Allison told him that she was willing to pitch in and help even if that meant sacrificing herself, Dean went into a pit. He spiraled. He'll be damned to lose his brother and Allison at once. He wouldn't be able to handle it.

Suddenly, a sound filled the air and a gust of wind blew by him. He looked to the side and there the angel stood. "Where the hell have you been?" he demanded, his voice a bit scarred, "I've been screaming myself hoarse out here for about two and a half hours now."

"What do you want?" Castiel asks him, ignoring his statement. He stood under a light, leaning his back against a metal rod. "Well, you can start with what the hell happened in Illinois."

"What do you mean?" Castiel asks, pushing off the rod, walking toward Dean with his hands shoved into the pockets of his trench coat. "Cut the crap. You were gonna tell me something," says Dean.

"Well, nothing of import." Castiel stood in front of Dean now.

"You got ass-reamed in Heaven. But it was not of import?"

"Dean. I can't. I'm sorry." Castiel dismissed and walked away, "Get to the real reason you called me. It's about Sam, right? And Allison?"

"Can they do it? Team up and kill Lilith, stop the apocalypse?"

"Possibly, yes." Castiel confirmed and turned back to face Dean, "But as you know, he'd have to take those certain steps," he referred to the demon blood by this point.

"Crank up the hell-blood regimen," Dean nodded.

"Consuming the amount of blood it would take to kill Lilith would change your brother forever. Most likely, he would become the next creature that you would feel compelled to kill."

"And Allison?" He feared Castiel's reply.

Castiel glanced to the ground, "She too. She would lose her humanity, become a full blooded demon." Dean's heart ached at Castiel's words and he glanced to the ground, "There's no reason this would have to come to pass, Dean. We believe it's you, Dean. Not your brother. Not your girlfriend. The only question for us is if you're willing to accept it. Stand up and accept your role. You are the one who will stop it."

Dean only stared at him for a moment, drawing in a sharp breath as he contemplated, "If I do this . . . Sammy don't have to?"

Castiel stays silent for a moment, "If it gives you comfort to see it that way," he nodded and Dean scoffed out loud shaking his head, "God, you're a dick these days." Dean turned and walked away from the angel, fighting in his mind.
