DEAN MADE HIS WAY BACK TO BOBBY'S BY DAWN. Allison stood in between his legs as he sat on a table while she checked out the cuts on his face from fighting with Sam. During this, Dean filled the both of them in on what happened.

Dean only stared at Allison — both, Bobby and she, could tell he was in a daze. "Dean? Dean!" Bobby called and rolled his eyes, "Ya listen to a word I said?"

"Yeah, I heard you." Dean replied in monotone, "I'm not calling him." Bobby and Allison both suggested he called Sam and tried to work this out. "Don't make me get my gun, boy." Bobby threatened.

Dean turns and looks at Bobby, "We are damn near close to Armageddon. Don't you think we got bigger fish at the moment?" Allison grabbed his chin and made him look back at her as she finished up cleaning the cuts and blood out of his nose. "I know you're pissed, and I'm not making apologies for what he's done, but he's your . . ."

"Blood?" Dean asked him. Allison tapped his thigh, signaling she was done and backed away. Dean jumped off the table and turned to him, "He's my blood — is that what you're gonna say?"

"He's your brother and he's drowning," Allison spoke up calmly as she tossed away the bloodied napkin into the trash. Dean looks back at her, "Allison, I tried helping him. I did," he told her, "Look what happened."

"So try again." Bobby chirped in. Dean looked away and shook his head, walking away. He felt defeated, "It's too late."

"There's no such thing." Bobby says.

"No! Damnit!" Dean exclaimed and shook his head, "No," he repeated more quieter, "We got to face the facts — Sam never wanted part of this family. He hated this life growing up, ran away to Stanford first chance he got. And now it's like deja vu all over again. Well, I am sick and tired of chasing him."

Dean sits, "Screw him. He can do whatever he wants." Allison's heart broke at his words. She knew how much he loved his brother, she knew the limit he would go for Sam, hell, he sold his soul so that Sam would see another day. "You don't mean that," she whispered.

"Yes, I do, Allison," he looks up at her — defeat in his eyes. He was broken, "Sam's gone. He's gone," he looks down, "I'm not even sure he's my brother anymore. If he ever was."

Dean looks down to the ground. Allison looks over at Bobby, hearing him breathe heavily, she knew what was about to come and she took a step back. Bobby turned around, facing the table he leaned on before using his hands to shove everything off. The noise frightened Dean and it made him look up, "You stupid, stupid son of a bitch!" Bobby shouted at him as he marched toward him.
