Yang: yeah it is sus.

As she used the Relics energy to tear the Moon apart even further and launch its pieces into Remnant wiping out its inhabitants

Ozpin: I couldn't in respect that the bodies I had weren't mine to begin with.

But Jaune persists and constantly fought Salem who humored his infantile attempts to end her existence

In a Climactic but Pointless Battle Salem finally kicked the bucket when she allowed Jaune to impale her with Crocea Mors

Unknown to her it was the one thing she needed to escape her curse inadvertently she passed on her curse of Immortality to Jaune

Salem: no... I may have been desperate before but to pass it on.....to my descendant no less. I would take this immortality and keep it to protect them from it.

Ozpin: now that is different from how you used to be.

He kicks her off his blade and spat at her corpse as he cursed her for ever being born
