Summary~ You enter Tenshukaku and find Kujou Sara on the ground. Aether challenges La Signora to a duel, one that you are going to participate in...
I can feel every cell in my body ready with anticipation. The violent shaking sent tremors down every muscle and bone in my body. Get yourself together Y/N, it's not that bad we're only fighting the 8th strongest Harbinger... with very little experience... plus an injury... and at much greater chance of losing my life... But then again, I have come across many life and death situations before, so there is no need to be this worked up. I got this!
The self-reassurance wasn't very reassuring and only Aether's voice could drag me out of my suffocating declining confidence. He holds out a fist, "You'll be great, we've got this alright!"
I return the fist-bump, his gentle reassurance was the little push I needed, at least for the moment. My attention turns towards the Harbinger as I hear her heels clack down the steps and onto the floor in front of us. My hands instinctively retrieve their swords.
She snickers, "Isn't that sweet? I'll have to teach the both of you a lesson of Harbinger power and elegance. We'll see how long you last."
Towards the end of her intimidation tactic, she locks eyes with me, staring into my soul as though she could see the nervousness plastered on my face. That look of superiority in her eyes lit a spark within me, she was insulting me. Not only me, but the people who have helped me achieve where I was today. I may not be as strong as her, but her laughing at people who are still learning and growing was outrageous. Considering the difference in my skill now and when I first met her, I was proud of myself for what I had achieved. Yet there she was, snickering at the idea of fighting me.
The spark quickly consumed every muscle, every bone, every cell, morphing my nervous energy into that of fire and rage. She gave me a new purpose. To not just exceed her expectations of me, but my own expectations as well. This fight was going to be the fight where I not only prove to everyone, but I prove to myself, just how far I have come.
She raised her arm a few instances after that glare she sent me, as if in unison with her movements an icy wind descended on her, forming a glowing ice ring at her feet that rose as a barrier against the ice wind that consumed the area around us.
La Signora left but a few milliseconds since her last spell before she casts icicles in our direction. Both Aether and I dodge, to either side, separating us. I can already see a smile forming on her face. She launches two consecutive ice wheels one towards each of her opponents. Leaving behind their path of deathly cold ice, I dodge again barely noticing the circling ice crystals directed at me.
I know what she is trying to do, she attempting to keep me on the defensive so she can focus on Aether. However, I was in an agitated state of mind, where I would take no form of disrespect or belittlement.
So instead of dodging away from the ice missiles, I propelled myself towards them. Concentrating the anemo in my hands, allowing me to dodge under the missiles towards La Signora before the ice infected the ground.
This also naturally gave me an advantage as she had already turned her attention towards Aether, intensifying the anemo in my swords I attempt to slash through her shield. My swords leave an open gash as I move for another swing. However, by the time I was prepared for another, the previous holes in the shield had closed themselves. I could hear a small snicker escape her lips as she prepared a massive icicle ready to launch, the type that explodes. The missile was unleashed at a speed not humanly possible to dodge, out of options I block the force and was swept to the edge of the battlefield where it lodges itself into the floor.
