Chiaki POV

October 15th 2012

After getting a game over screen on Gala Omega, I stepped out of the classroom to let Y/N calm down Akane. Even outside of the classroom, I could still hear the shouting and fighting.

Y/N: "Goddamn woman! You're like if Bruce Jenner switched gender!"

Akane: "I'll take that as a compliment! Now quit talkin' and fight me you coward!"

I wonder how long it'll take Y/N to calm her down. She and Nekomaru really did a number on the classroom.

I closed the door to the classroom behind me and was greeted by Ryota, who was drawing on a tablet.

Ryota: "Did you run away too?"

Ryota was always very quiet, ever since the first day. He was usually always the first to leave the class when it was over. From the looks of it, he's not particularly close to anyone in the class... Neither am I.

Chiaki: "The whole group is so aggro. No multiplayer vibe at all." I said, looking down, kinda sad.

Ryota: "Well, not to be a downer, but team spirit is kinda wasted on us. We're a bunch of prodigies cherry-picked from across the country. With talents like ours, we're all on easy street. Seriously, we're set for life as soon as we graduate. I'm just running down the clock until we hit that finish line. Not a whole lot of point in making friends, right?"

For someone who doesn't talk too much, if at all, he makes a good point. What's the point of making friends if we're just going to go our separate ways after we graduate?

Chiaki: "Yeah, maybe. Doesn't matter, 'cause I can't make friends with gaming anyway."

Suddenly, Ms. Yukizome popped up to my right.

Chisa: "You bite your tongue! Don't ever say you can't make friends! Got it!?"

Chiaki: "But I can't."

Chisa: "You think no one will like you because you're a gamer?"

I guess this is what Y/N was talking about with Chisa. She is quite motivating.

Chisa: "What, so those titles you love so much are worthless? Is that what you're saying?"

Chiaki: "No, they're great! I... Oh."

Chisa giggled at me. I guess I just proved her point.

Chisa: "If you have that much fun playing them all by yourself, imagine the fun people will have playing them with you."

Chiaki: "We could play them... Together."

I never really thought about it that way. That night, at Sonia's birthday, when Y/N played games with me, that was honestly some of the most fun that I've had in a while.

I might be able to get the class to play games together... Yeah, I'll do that. But I'll have to get Y/N to get everyone to agree to it.

Ever since he got here, he's been standing out like a sore thumb. In a good way, of course. Weirdly enough, everyone listens to him. And not just because he's the TA.

He has an effect on people where you can't help but like him, even if he doesn't want to acknowledge it.

Speaking of, I should see how he's dealing with Akane. I think she should be calmed down. The sounds of fighting and screaming have ended.

Chisa and I went back into the classroom and saw the group broken into two circles... Oh no.

Sonia: "Sir Y/N, squeeze my hand if you can hear my voice!"
