Gundham: "Hahahahahahaha! Today is a day worth celebrating, low-level demons. As today marks the 18th year since the spawn of the most powerful demon of hell, and the future ruler of Earth. Tanaka, The Forbidden One!"

Gundham was excited. Why? Today is his birthday. He, in his usual eccentric tone, is excitedly celebrating already. It was the first thing he did when he saw Nagito and me in the living room couch watching TV.

Y/N: "Yeah... Happy Birthday, Gundham." I said sweat dropping.

Nagito: "Always one for show. Huh Gundham?" He said with a smile.

Gundham: "My fellow dwellers, I shall hereby declare a decree that the two of you are recommended to attend the ritual of life later this evening."

Nagito: "Sounds like you're inviting us to your birthday party. Right?"

Gundham: "If that is what you wish to call it. Then yes."

I was wondering what all those packages Gundham was keeping in his room were. All of them were delivered from the Animal Raising Committee. I guess he's an important figure because he's been getting a bulk load of gifts from them.

Gundham: "Just so you know: My fellow council members, as well as the rest of the society, will continue to send me supplies and donations to me for the rest of the day."

Y/N: "Yeah. That was obvious... Exactly how many friends do you have on that committee?"

Gundham: "Haha. Y/N, I'm a powerful figure in the society. I am the society's Event Planning Manager. I am the one who brings everyone together to partake in organized events to strengthen our cause. Do you understand?"

Alright, so he's the guy who organizes the events for the Committee. Now it makes sense as to why he knows so many people from there.

Nagito: "Y/N, you should attend Gundham's birthday. You're the Ultimate Hero, and all of our classmates look up to you so much! A worthless degenerate like me has no place in such a scene so full of joy like that."

The only thing I wish for Christmas is for Nagito to stop putting himself down. He does it so much that I start to get worried. And this odd obsession with "Hope" is beyond bizarre. And he always says that I'm the "Beacon of Hope for the World". And it feels like he has an obsession with me. But I'm afraid there's nothing I can do to change him. I just hope... Now I'm doing it. I hope he doesn't do anything unhinged over this. That will only lead to trouble. Trouble I have to resolve.

Y/N: "Yeah, I'll go. And you go too Nagito. You'll be my Plus One."

Nagito: "Oh thank you Y/N. If you insist, I'll be happy to go with you! You're such a kind person!"

Nagito was ecstatic that I invited him. He's always like this. He turns down an offer to attend, saying something like, "Trash like me shouldn't be at something so happy." Then I invite him myself and he goes.

It's weird. It's more than weird. But... Nagito is my friend. It doesn't matter if I like it or not. He is my friend. And my roommate. So I'm fine being the only one to include him in stuff. Even if he doesn't think he should be included.

Gundham: "Then it is settled. The Abnormal Hero and the Bizzare Lucky One shall attend this life ceremony. Arrive at the house of the anthropoids, the phoenix, and the Midgard serpent. This house is located hidden deep in the jungle of concrete and cement."

And, per usual, Gundham told us a backward riddle in his own language: Gundhamese. But I've been living with him for two months. So I have a good idea of what he's trying to say.
