Whew, lots of participants. Let's do the intros for everyone!
Also, yes, I will be announcing the word count of the Indie Awards in this category's results. I wasn't expecting Fan Vote to close so soon and get out before AOTY, so I didn't have it planned the way I originally thought lol. I'll be announcing the word count and who guessed closest in the next results! If you haven't left a guess on the word count for the Indie category, go to the Indie results chapter's intro note and do so! It only takes a few seconds, and if you guess the closest, you win a prize. Doesn't hurt, right?
Guys, please welcome the participants for the first huge category for the WHO Awards!
They are:
4everSherlocked with the book One More Sunset, a sad short fanfic featuring BTS' Jungkook and an original female character, though I will not spoil the plot since it's all connected to the female lead. I guess you're just gonna have to read it to find out ;)
Sherly is a long-time friend of mine, and I have been judging her work for over a year now. She has won in my contests before in numerous different positions, scoring some of the highest scores I've ever given out during the Eclipse Awards' run.
Sherly writes a lot, and I mean a lot, and I think you guys should go check her out, especially if you like K-pop! But even if you don't, Sherly writes stories that are super accessible to non-K-pop fans. I personally would recommend Inner Child by her! Thank you, Sherly, for signing up!
AprilJester with the book My Never-Ending Book, which is a clever title for a short story compilation. The unique part about this compilation is that they are shorts written for The Mahani Wolves, a series written by April.
You may recognize April from the Indie category as well as Saramitra and I's weekly contest, where she took home second place in week 1! Or if not from the numerous contests April takes part in, then for her hit book The Mahani Wolves, which has an impressive over 100k reads. Congratulations on that awesome milestone!
As you can see, April is a pretty seasoned writer with plenty to offer on her page. From full stories to shorts to fanfics to prompts, April has it all, and I hope you guys go take a little peek at her profile!
shinhaari with the book Let's Go on a Strange Date. This short story is quite literally what the title says: a short about going on unconventional dates. Can't get simpler than that, but it's written in a way that makes it more complex and layered!
Hari is another one of my friends who I have been reviewing for over a year now, and you may recognize her because she too has won in my contests before! Yeah, only three people in and we're looking at some tight competition, huh? This is gonna be interesting for me to judge...
Anywho, that aside, Let's Go on a Strange Date is adorable and definitely worth reading, so I strongly recommend checking it out! Hari always has very unique and vivid ideas that make her stories stand out from others on Wattpad, so I encourage you to give her profile a looksie!
MiaKurenai_2009 with the book The Ballad of Time and Moon. This story not only has a beautiful title but also has a unique time-based narrative. It's a short read clocking in at under 30 minutes, so you should definitely take a look since it'll be worth your time!
