Summary: Chris, Jill and their daughter spend their day at the park having a lovely picnic!

Status of their relationship in this one shot: Married.

Chris parked the car and let out a deep sigh. Jill smiled at him and looked behind her, checking to see if Melody was still awake-she was! "You girls ready?" Chris asked the two of them. Melody giggled and nodded with excitement. "Yes daddy, let me out of this car!" The little girl practically shouted. Chris playfully through his hands up. "Yes ma'am." He then opened his door, got out, then opened Jill's, then Melody's. His wife must be let out first, she is the lady, Melody last.

When he opened Melody's door, she had an excited smile on her face. "C'mere princess." Chris chuckled and got her out of her booster seat. Melody wrapped her arms around Chris's neck and hooked onto him like a spider monkey. Jill laughed at the sight and her smile lit up the entire area. "I can bring the stuff over, you might wanna find a spot for us to all eat and play before she loses her marbles." Jill teased, pinching Melody's side and kissing Chris's cheek. "Okay baby, holler if you need my help." "Will do."

He began to tread through the green grass and into the park. It isn't a normal park. It doesn't only have a playground, but trails and fields too. It has been one of Chris and Jill's favourite spots to visit ever since they first started dating. They've brought Melody here plenty of times too, she always has so much fun.

"Are you excited?" "Yes, yes, yes!" Melody squealed. She's always been an outdoorsy, adventurous little girl. She likes to play on the jungle gym(s), pick flowers and run through the fields. She has a free spirit, she takes after her mother in that sense. "Good, good. But remember babygirl, you can't just play, you have to eat too, alright?" Chris asked her. She has a habit of acting up when Chris or Jill sit her down to eat. All she wants to do is raise hell. She's seriously her mother's twin. "Okay." Melody agreed. She's getting better with it.

The park isn't very full today. Some people are at the playground but most are in the dog section, training them or letting them play. Chris was glad though, Melody has a tendency to talk to strangers (She's a social butterfly) and when there's not many folks around, she won't for once. Chris glanced over his shoulder saw Jill grabbing out the supplies for their picnic from the tailgate of their truck. He can't help but admire her. She's so willed. She's beautiful.

"Down you go." Chris snickered and kissed the top of Melody's head as he put her down. "Now before you go running off, you have to listen to me." "Okay." "Stay close, don't talk to anyone and make sure mommy and daddy can always see you. Got it?" "Yes!" "Good, you can play now, come back in a little bit to check in." "Yay!" Melody bolted towards the playground. Chris and Jill don't try to hover over her constantly. She's 7, she's very young, but she deserves playtime by herself too. She feels less restricted that way so it works.

Chris turned completely now to look at Jill. She was carrying their picnic basket along with the blanket for them to all sit and eat on. She looks so pretty in her outfit. Jill is wearing a long sleeve sweater with jeans, looking very sexy. Melody looks adorable as always, in her little overalls dress with a polka dot shirt on. Her brunette hair in a singular braid, Jill's just brushed straight. His girls always look their best.

"Lay this out for me please." Jill handed Chris the maroon blanket. Chris nodded and shook the blanket, taking out all of its wrinkles. He laid it out onto the ground underneath the large oak tree. "Right here?" "Sure." Jill gleamed, kneeling down to brush her hand across the decently sized fabric. Chris took a look at Melody. She is playing on the slide with two other little kids, a boy & a girl. He'll make sure to keep a close eye on her.
