Leah: "Ready" she smiled over to the girl next to her"
Lexie: "Yup" she replied popping the 'p' before getting out of the car along with the defender
Leah had just fetched Lexie from school early so they could go to the doctors appointment that had been arranged to see if Lexie's ADHD medication was working well and if the suspected tic needed anything doing about it
Leah: "Hi, we have an appointment for Lexie Macks Williamson with Dr Pont" she said to the receptionist
Receptionist: "Ahh yes, if you just take a seat the doctor will be out soon" she smiled slightly as the pair went and sat down
Leah: "So how was school today"
Lexie: "It was alright a bit boring but in History we got to watch this documentary on the Tutors which was great because we didn't have to write"
Leah: "That's good, did you learn anything from it"
Lexie: "Only that Henry VIII was kinda crazy with all his wives and stuff" she smiled slightly
Leah: "Oh" she smiled
Dr Pont: "Lexie" he shouted into the waiting room
Leah: That's us, come on you" she smiled standing up from the waiting room chairs and following the doctor to the consultation room
Dr Pont: "So Lexie how have you been"
Lexie: "Yeah alright" she said getting onto the bed in the room
Dr Pont: "That's good, how've you been getting on at school"
Lexie: "Yeah fine, i mean it's school it can't be good can it" she said cheekily earning a look from leah
Dr Pont: "How have you been finding the medication" he said typing some things into his computer
Lexie: "I don't know, good" she said looking to leah for a bit of help in the question
Leah: "I think it's helped, she's able to focus more often and manage her emotions and hyperactivity, there's still moments but it's better"
Dr Pont: "Well it's good that it seems to be helping"
Lexie: "I like your pen" she smiled
Dr Pont: "Thank you lexie" he smiled slightly
Dr Pont: "You mentioned something about a suspected tic didn't you leah" he questioned
Leah: "Yeah"
Dr Pont: "Is it something recent you've noticed"
Leah: "It's more apparent now, it's like a jerk or just a move to the side of her neck, it doesn't happen all the time or everyday but it happens more when she's excited or stressed, like when she feeling high level emotions"
Dr Pont: "Does it hurt when it happens Lexie"
Lexie: "No, it's just a bit annoying when it happens over and over but it doesn't do it too much"
Leah: "I have a video where i caught one of you want to see"
Dr Pont: "Yeah it would be helpful if you do leah"
Leah pulled out her phone and flicked onto a video of Lexie sat at the kitchen island just doing some homework but her neck was jerking slightly
Dr Pont: "And you say it happens more when she's angry for example"
Leah: "Yeah"
Dr Pont: "Well it wouldn't be uncommon if it was a tic, they can usually accompany conditions like ADHD but luckily tics aren't usually harmful or dangerous in any way just more of an unpleasant feeling, that's what tics are, a sensation built up in the body and it's let out by ticing"
Leah: "Is there anything we need to do for it"
Dr Pont: "Not at the moment no, but you should know they can get worse when they are focused on or when the person is stressed or tired, but tics can also reduce or even disappear over time"
Leah: "Okay"
Dr Pont: "So Lexie, if one day your ticing reduces it's nothing bad it might just be happening less often" he said turning his attention to the younger girl
Lexie: "Okay" she smiled slightly
Once the pair had finished at the doctors they got a refill prescription for Lexie's medication and a leaflet on tics that Lexie knew she wouldn't read because who liked to read, not her. Now they were heading off to Leah's training and Lexie was tagging along, she hadn't seen some of the girls in a while because of her own training or being at school or out with friends so she was excited to see them again.
Beth: "Lex" she shouted as she spotted the girl in front of her
Lexie: "Beffy" she smiled going over to give the girl a hug
Beth: "What are you doing here" she smiled
Lexie: "I had the doctors and then leah said i could come" she smiled back
Beth: "How was the doctors"
Lexie: "Yeah i just had to answer some questions and stuff, boring stuff" she huffed before spotting kyra and running over to the girl
Beth: "How was the doctors le, the only i got from her is that it was boring" she smiled
Leah: "Yeah he said the medication must be working and he said that her neck thing was a tic, nuts it's nothing we need to worry about since it isn't hurting her, he said it was common for people with conditions like ADHD to develop a tic with emotions or tiredness"
Beth: "Oh that's good"
Leah: "Yeah" she smiled as they walked into the changing rooms only to see Lexie on kyra's lap talking to Katie and Vic or more like laughing, her giggles being heard throughout the changing rooms, it made her smile to see that the teen seemed so happy
Alessia: "How'd the doctors go" she smiled sitting down next to leah
Leah: "It went good, she doesn't need a different medication since the one she's on seems to be good and they said the tic doesn't seem to have them worried since they are more common with high emotions and ADHD and they aren't hurting her"
Alessia: "That's good then" she smiled
Leah: "Yeah it is"
~
Alex: "Right lex, we are gonna need you to write everything you can remember about the incident and even if there were any before it in as much detail as possible like who was around and where about it was, can you do that for us" she smiled handing the girl opposite her a piece of paper and pen
Lexie: "Yeah alright" she said as she began writing down the incidents
Cameron: "Maddison has already done this and Harriet, CJ and Vanessa have wrote about it as well, is there anyone else you think would've been around to hear or see any problems between you two"
Lexie: "I think Lilly might have heard what was said"
Cameron: "Okay i'll get her to write a statement as well, thanks lex" he smiled before leaving the room to go and find the other girl
Lexie wrote down everything she could remember, from how Maddison's tone was when Lexie first tried to introduce herself to when Maddison first called her a bitch, once she did she handed the paper to Cameron and went back to the gym
Fortunately for her, the staff has no choice but to suspend Maddison for 2 sessions after being told what she said to Lexie but they wouldn't take any major action until they had all the evidence and the truth in all of it
Vanessa: "You alright lex" she smiled giving the girl a side hug as she walked through the doors
Lexie: "Yeah, thanks for sticking up for me the other day, i was told you went full out at her" she giggled
Vanessa: "Yeah she deserved it" she smiled before walking off and carrying on with her stretched while Lexie went to the treadmill
