that day, when michael arrived home, the first sentence that came out of his mouth was," mom! someone asked me if I could go to their birthday party today! can I go? can I go?"
michaels mom, karen, smiled.
"that's great sweetie, but who's birthday party?"
"Luke!"
"well...when is it?"
"saturday."
"I'm sure we have nothing planned this saturday, so I think we can go!"
and in that moment, michaels face lit up and his hair turned turquoise.excitement.
michael couldn't wait to tell Luke.

the next day, during morning recess, michael didn't sit on the bottom of the slide, but instead went to Luke's hiding spot.
his hair was still turquoise from yesterday.
"Luke! guess what?" Luke's head perked up when he heard michael's voice.
"my mom said I can go to your birthday party!"
"yay!"
"who's gonna be there?"
"everyone in our class! I invited everyone!"
"that's so awesome sauce!" the turquoise haired boy exclaimed.

hi so these are pretty short chapters rn but they wi be longer when luke and michael turn into teenagers. also if u didn't know or its not rlly clear enough, they're currently like 7 or 8. teeny children.
Also I know the pic doesn't really look turquoise but the color changed for some reason when I put it on here
