When a typical Indian dad says
" पर काट दूँगा तुम्हारे "
( I will cut your wings )

Then the daughter says

" काट दीजिए पर हमारे
जो कभी थे भी नहीं हमारे
हमें तो चलना आता है
उड़ना कभी किसी ने सिखाया ही नहीं
क्या हुआ अगर उड़ना नहीं आता
चलना तो आता है ना
जब हमारी चाल की रफ्तार बढ़ेगी
तब सारा ज़माना देखेगा केसे
चलने वाला अक्सर
उड़ने वालों को पिछे छोड़ देते है "

(Cut the wings , if you want
That we don't even have
We knew how to walk
No one taught us how to fly
What happened if we don't know how to fly
We know how to walk
When we'll learn to walk faster
Then whole world will witness
How a walking person
Surpass the flying person
And leave him behind)
