Barrister Babu : The Culmination

It's been one month since Anirudh got married to Manorama. But in this one month no-one ever saw Anirudh to spend a single day like a married person. He neither shares the room with Manorama, nor does he even talk properly without any needs. Trilochan, Sampoorna, Binoy have noticed that. Trilochan even tried to talk to him but he just ignored everyone. Bondita didn't bother herself much in this as these things are beyond her understanding. But one thing she wondered why suddenly everyone stopped mocking and taunting her. She thought maybe her kaka Sasurji did something or the villagers got another topic to gossip about, but she never asked anyone about it.

FLASHBACK

Anirudh went to Batuk's room and he entered the room. Batuk was not pleased to see him. So he asked Anirudh....

Batuk : Aab aapko kya chahiye dada?

Anirudh : Aaj school mein kya huya hain batuk? Aur mujhe sach sach batana...

Batuk : Jo bhi ho raha hain sab aapke wajah se ho raha hain dada. Har koi meri boudi ko taane mar raha tha, unhe baatein suna Raha tha, eha Tak ki school mein woh Sundarlal Roy boudi ki saath badtamizi kar raha tha.

Anirudh : Bondita ne bataya tumhe??

Batuk : Boudi ne mujhe kuch nahi bataya dada, woh toh mere Mitra ke dada bhi ussi class mein padta hain, usne bataya mujhe. Main kal uss Sundarlal ko nahi chorne wala.

Anirudh sternly replied to him....

Anirudh : Iss mamle mein tum nahi padoge Batuk, sun liya tumne meri baat. Jo karna hain, jisse dekhna hain main dekh lunga. Aur mujhse koi behes mat karna, nahi koi ulti Sidi harkat karna. Agar tumne kuchi bhi kiya na Batuk toh mujhse bura sach mein koi nahi hoga.

Batuk just clenched his fist in anger. He knows now he can't do anything otherwise his dada will not spare him. So he just slept on his bed turning his face.

Batuk in his mind : Jisse dekho bas mujhe daat ta rehta hain. Meri kya galti hain? Main toh bas meri boudi ki madat karna chahta hu.

At dinner time koyeli came to wake bondita up.

Koyeli : Choti malkin uth jayiye, khane ka waqt ho gaya hain. Chaliye khana lag chuka hain.

Bondita wakes up with a jerk. She saw the clock, it is 9.20 pm. She widened her eyes.

Bondita : Main itni der soyi rahi, aur mujhe kisine uthaya tak nahi?

Koyeli : Woh barrister babu ne mana kiya tha aapko jagane se. Abhi aap chaliye khana kha lijiye. Sab intezar kar rahe hain.

Bondita just nodded and went downstairs. She saw everyone was waiting for her. So she started serving them but Anirudh interrupted her.....

Anirudh : Baith jao bondita, aaj tumhe khana parosne ki koi zarurat nahi hain.

Sampoorna : Toh aur kaun karega Anirudh, akhir bondita Bahu hain Ghar ki....

Anirudh : Aap hi ne kaha tha na Manorama nayi Bahu hain, usse uska jak milna chahiye toh Aap aur Manorama paros dijiye Aaj.

Bondita was confused. She didn't understand why Anirudh was doing this. Whether he is helping her or favouring Manorama by side linning her, she really can't understand. Anirudh saw that Bondita was still standing so he told her to sit.

Anirudh : Baith jao bondita.

Bondita sat in her place. Sampoorna and Manorama served everyone. But Sampoorna was very much annoyed by Anirudh's behaviour. She noticed Anirudh has become more protective towards Bondita.

The next day Anirudh leaves early for his court. Instead of going to court he went to Panchayat and asked them to call an immediate meeting with villagers. Everyone came as it was instructed by Mukhiya.
