The hot scorching sun above catches all of their attention as it shifts abnormally into a darker weather, going against the law of nature. Thunder starts to bolt from the sky, and raindrops begin to fall meeting their skin. Confusion is out of the question the more time they spend in VESTRA. Everything else that happens here to them somehow progressively becomes worse and more likely not even logical if they took the time to think about it, but doing that will probably make them dead meat like the still body laying flat in front of Yunho now.
San wipes the sweat that trickles down his forehead amidst the cold weather change, his hand holding a long sturdy branch he has been trying to make most out of to invent a weapon. He had used the stray shiny metal shield Jongho found when they were exploring around to find something that could protect themselves. His hand gripping the shield as he dragged the branch across the metal roughly, attempting to create a sharp end.
Satisfied with how his branch is now a sharp weapon that illuminates the idea of a sword, he holds it out to take a good look. Not exactly a charming looking sword, but it should be able to do what he wants for it to do.
The other members are moving around too, trying to find anything that they could use to defend themselves. Yunho is arranging the arrows he had collected, luckily he even managed to retrieve a bow. Wooyoung found himself with an axe that was covered with blood, which made him rethink about taking it. He even nearly puked out from the smell, but braced himself through it, knowing he had no choice.
Jongho on the other hand managed to find a fine piece of brass knuckles which he has never taken off from his knuckles, and Arin also found a hammer, which according to Yunho, was Arin's greatest skill. Mingi punched a tree so hard out of rage when he found out everyone is already finding something except him, which in return he got a whole big branch that detaches from the tree, as his weapon.
"He barely tried searching anything for a weapon," Wooyoung whispers, just under his breath towards Jongho as he directs his eyes to Yeosang, but sighs as he hears Arin's voice.
"Attempting to gossip even amidst a war?" she sneers, eyes still cautiously looking around.
"Doesn't he look like a bit suicidal to you?" he replies, whilst still desperately trying to wipe out the blood on his axe, "no offense, though."
"That just shows how little you know of him," Arin merely laughs, leaving Wooyoung in confusion. He turns toward Jongho who raises his shoulders in defeat, despite silently agreeing with himself not to underestimate Mingi's mentor. God knows what he's capable of to be able to get nominated as a mentor.
Yunho clears his throat in an attempt to gather their attention, which he did get despite their inability to hide the irritation visible on their faces.
"We will need to move separately," he breathes, "maybe in pairs."
"That should be easy. We'll just move with our newbie pairs."
"No," Yunho raises up one of his hands in defeat to silent Arin off before she even gets to protest, "I suggest we move with a different partner, get the others confused. Then before they had the chance, we struck first."
Just by the tone of the soldier, all of them instantly knew they had no other choice but to agree. Yunho points his index to them, one by one.
"San with Mingi. Yeosang, Elenna, Jongho, together. Wooyoung with me. Arin with Saera," the soldier holds a hand up again as Arin begins to open her mouth, "just do it, Arin, for the love of god."
"Discussing God now are we? Do you even believe in one? I highly doubt that," she counters, which Yunho ignores intentionally. He moves forward, until he's merely inches from her, staring right into her soul. Arin doesn't budge, staring right back.
