Elena sat in the parlour, sharing a drink with Klaus but her eyes kept glancing to Stefan's unconscious body, Klaus noticed her glances and felt – well, he was unsure of what he felt.
"About your offer," Klaus spoke, gaining Elena's attention. "It was very thought out. It seems you have been thinking a lot about it."
He took the seat beside Elena, he could've sat anywhere else but felt the need to sit beside her, to feel her presence closer. "Tell me, Elena, would you really leave Mystic Falls if given the chance at a normal, human life?" He asked, observing her face – the face that has haunting his dreams for so long. "Would you truly leave your friends, your family behind – even the Salvatores?"
"Let's face it, Klaus." Elena replied, sighing and leaned back into her seat – Klaus could see the slight discolouration of the love bites he left on her neck, if you really focused on them. "Mystic Falls is a magnet for the Supernatural. Last year I didn't even know vampires, werewolves, witches, spirits, and doppelgangers existed. Now throw hybrids into the mix. What's next fairies? Sirens?"
Klaus snorted. "Fairies and sirens?"
"Hybrids are considered to be the freaks of nature, an abomination. You're living proof of that." Elena retorts, rolling her eyes at his snort. "Just because you haven't met or seen a fairy or siren, doesn't mean they don't exist – aren't they also considered supernatural?"
Elena had a point; he would agree on that – but fairies and sirens? They were nothing but folklore tales mothers told their children, weren't they?
Elijah walked into the parlour, Klaus got to his feet and stood between his brother and Elena, especially since Damon walked back into the room.
"Elijah," Klaus questioned, his eyes darting between his older brother and Damon. "Why haven't you left?"
Stepping from behind Elijah was a compelled waitress, who held a tray covered by a cloth, Elijah then looked at Klaus. "Where are your manners, brother?" Elijah questioned, removing the cloth to reveal two daggers lying on the tray. "We forgot dessert."
Klaus took several steps back, his hand automatically reaching for Elena, getting ready to run if things turn ugly. "What have you done?"
"What have you done?" Elijah spoke, even though he did not yell or raised his voice nor changed his tone, Elena could tell that Elijah was pissed. "You see, I've come to learn not to trust your vulgar promises, Niklaus. We're doing this on my terms now."
A younger man stepped into the room; he was dressed in a dusty suit from the early 19th century, Elena's widened as Klaus looked scared?
"Kol."
"Long time, brother."
Klaus went to run with Elena but was stopped but a haggard dressed man, who held a dagger and glanced at Elena. "Finn, don't."
Suddenly Klaus was stabbed in the hand by Finn, before they could even react to Klaus's wound, Rebekah showed up ad stabbed Klaus in the abdomen.
"This is for our mother." She hissed, throwing Klaus backwards into the waiting arms of Kol as Elena fell onto the sofa, pinned between a pissed of Rebekah and Finn as they all glared at Klaus Mikaelson.
"You're free to go," Elijah spoke towards Damon, who went to take Elena. "Elena stays."
Damon ad Elena locked eyes, worried about what will happen to her now that all the Original family was awake – Rebekah would come for her head.
