Guilt began to eat away at him as Esther tasked Finn with gathering needed supplies, though she never told him if they were important or not, he glanced at the blade – Elena's dried blood still coated the tip.

Was she even alive?

A flash of Elena's unconscious body just lying there, bleeding made Finn regret going along with Esther's plan, though she didn't mention killing Elena – only speaking with her.

Maybe he should go and speak to his siblings and risk getting shoved back in a box with a dagger in his chest, maybe then he'll feel less guilty.

"Finn?"

The man froze at the sound of the voice he hadn't hear din over 900 years, turning to face the owner of the voice, a look of shock and sadness came across him.

"Sage," He whispered. "You're alive..."

Anger flashed across Sage's face. "Why isn't the bastard dead yet?"

Finn sighed, knowing exactly who she was referring to. "Niklaus broke the curse, Sage." He replied, playing with a lock of her hair. "He found the human doppelganger and the moonstone."

"So, the rumours were indeed true?" Sage hissed, annoyance upon her face. "Why not kill the doppelganger then? Take away his blood source to create hybrids?"

"It is already done, Sage."

Annoyance danced across her face, as much as she loved Finn- her anger towards Klaus outweighed it, she wanted to hurt him just like she was all those centuries ago.

"So, he has no weakness? He's truly indestructible?"

"I wouldn't say that..." Finn smiled, brushing his fingers across Sage's cheek. "My mother is seeking out a weapon that can kill him."

"Y... your mother?"

Pain.

That's the first thing Elena felt, hissing as she remembered Esther stabbing her, it was there that Elena noticed red lines weaving around in the air, coming from her – wait what the fuck?!

Her head was throbbing, she groaned as her eyes opened and felt the dying ambers of the fire upon her face, Elena crawled to the door needing fresh air as the smell of sage and whatever else was burning was making her ill.

The heaviness in her chest never went away as Elena pulled on the doorknob, groaning out in pain as the dress rubbed against her wound, and there was a cut on her palm – why was there a cut?

Shaking her head, she knew that she needed to warn the Mikaelsons about Esther's plan, but what was the plan?

Elena couldn't even remember going to the room, how was she supposed to warn Klaus and Elijah if she didn't even remember Esther's plan, all she knew was that Finn was involved; Finn and her... blood.

Elena banged on the door, calling for anyone to hear her, until the red lines burst out of her again and the door was... destroyed?

Wait.
Did she do that?

Darkness creeped in again as Elena staggered out of the room, leaning from wall to wall and fell forwards into familiar arms.

"Stefan..."

When Bonnie mentioned that Elena was missing, he tried not to let it show that he was worried, the younger Salvatore brother followed some hybrids in seeking out the missing Gilbert girl, there was a commotion as the two hybrids, Derek and Chyanne were found with their necks broken, in a coat closet of all places – so that's why Elena was not followed by them.
