A/N I apologize for any errors in my work, and I encourage you to comment any of my spelling, grammatical, or canon mistakes! Also, this takes place after the events in Trials of Apollo and about a month before the UA entrance exam. If you have any questions, please ask but do remember: not everything is revealed in the beginning, some parts of the story may be revealed later on. I also do a lot of Riordanverse crossovers so before the characters are transported to the MHA universe there will be the same/similar scenes to those who have read my other works.
I don't think I need to do this, but I'm going to state the obvious anyways: I do not own Percy Jackson, Heroes of Olympus, or any other books/characters written by Rick Riordan and I do not own My Hero Academia.
The only ships used will be canon, any other ships I may add can all be interpreted as platonic.
Ancient Greek: "Words words words."
Have fun and read on!
Percy's POV:
Percy was on a walk in New Rome with Annabeth. His hand was in hers and he could feel her calm heartbeat, skipping whenever they locked eyes. He pointed to a bakery and suggested they get some cookies before heading to their next class.
I hope this peace lasts, Percy thinks as they stand in line. We've been through so much. But right now, I have my Wise Girl next to me and everything's fine.
"Percy?" Annabeth's voice shook his thoughts. "What do you want?"
"I'll have the salted chocolate chip cookie, please."
They ate in central park, basking in the sun with the chill autumn breeze. They were just joking about how cute Will and Nico were when Annabeth noticed odd tendrils of black smoke crawling up to them. In between the grass stems and in the breeze-filled day it almost caught her by surprise.
"Percy," Annabeth half-whispered, her eyes locked. He stopped laughing and looked to where she was pointing. The tendril of smoke expanded while the two scrambled up, immediately reaching for each other's hands. Onlookers gathered and children ran out of the park. By then it was as big as Chiron and swirling around. Riptide's cap fell to the ground as Percy pulled his celestial bronze sword out into the daylight.
Then light flickered in the center of the swirling mass. It started as a small white light, almost as a ray of sunshine through a dark cloud. But then it grew and colors blinded Percy and Annabeth. The colors formed and merged, creating hazy shapes of people moving in a city.
"Percy!" He didn't realize it, but a small tendril had yet again started approaching them. It grew solid around his ankle and as his foot shook trying to get it off his grip on Annabeth's hand loosened. She screamed as he was pulled into the void, reaching out to him. But she only passed through the smoke and fell on her knees. A shocked wail escaped her throat as the love of her life was ripped from her again.
Leo's POV:
At the same time across the US Leo Valdez was working quietly, or as quietly as Leo can, on monster-proof cellphones. So far, he had four and was currently getting distracted with another project.
"Leo?"
"In here!" He shouted back to Piper, followed by a loud but small explosion. His impish grin returned and he went back to fiddling with the gears in his hand as Piper entered the bunker.
"What's up, beauty queen?"
"Chiron needs us at the Big House."
For the first time that day, maybe in his life, Leo went still. He tried to hide his nerves with a laugh but remembered the war. If he was getting called into the Big House it wasn't something good. It could be that Chiron found out about the pranks he and the Stoll brothers did on the Ares kids but then why would Piper be there? No, something must be wrong.
