Oh Viridian City, famous for teaching kids in school where you didn't go to. The viridian forest that is famous for weird stories and of course, their tasty sweet succulent decaf coffees. Yummers. It was all going well, night passes as you Grey and Green spend the time at a centre, resting off well for the night and ready for the next one...

"I ABSOLUTELY FORBID YOU TO GO THROUGH HERE!" An old man who's on the ground is yelling. Holding a bottle that is covered in a brown bag and has a very red nose. This guy is gone. Totally drunk. Waisted. Green and Grey stand there in a not-so amused tone.

"Dude, let us pass, old man." Grey says nonchalantly, getting annoyed at the fact that this is the shit he has to deal with in the morning in a new city as well. "Yeah, can you just...Move? We need to go through there!" Green joins in, also wanting to just go to the next city, reaching of course our first gym leader, Brock. Ad prior, we have to get past this old stinky man.

"THIS IS PRIVATE PROPERTY!" He swings his bottle around, some liquid drips out easily. Even if the bottle would hit you, at best it would make the old man drop it by your presence who's difficult to read after all. A young girl looks at the old man and then at you two, flustering a red shade of fire. "Oh, grandpa! Don't be so mean! I-I'm So sorry! He hasn't gotten his morning coffee yet..." You roll your eyes and just sigh; "...It's fine, I love my coffee in the morning as well. A nice gentle start to the day." "Grey, you drink pure espresso with decaf and beans. You're just killing yourself slowly on the inside." Green looks at you with a dumbfounded expression. Making you gasp for an answer but not being able to find one.

"D-don't say it like that." You look away shyly, heading off to the Poke Center. Green giggles and starts to chat with the old drunk man's granddaughter. She's super good at starting conversations, it's pretty surprising. To the centre you go, you use the phone they have. Calling a special number you should've called when your parents were fighting....

"911, What is your emergency?" A soft, yet strong voice comes out of the phone, it's officer Jenny, she's one of the people that helped you. "There is a drunk old man who won't get out of the way and starts saying weird stuff in Viridian city, Ma'am." You hear some note writing and a bit of murmur, she answers. "And is the old man still there?" Taking a look outside, and yep...Still there, screaming at a Poliwag as it's passing by. "Yep, still there." "Alright, I'll be there in 5 Minutes, thank you." She hangs up and you head back outside for Green. You need to make sure the old man won't do anything to her.

Abruptly stopping their chit-chat, you gently hold Green's Hand. "Green, let's go around Route 22. It will lead us to the same place and we could meet better pokemons." She looks at you and nods. "Alright! We'll see you later, Polka!" The lady who's name is Polka waves goodbye to green as well; "Bye leaf! See you later!" And you two leave her to deal with her Grandpa, who'll be helped by Nurse Jenny after all. Once going, you hold her hand gently, not even realising what you're doing. "Grey, shall we release our pokemons?" Green smiles, trying to change the subject of what just happened. You agree on that, Mankey did stay for the night in their pokeball. So it's best to release them as Oak said before.

"C'mon out, Mankey!/Let's go, Bob sauce!" They both pop out and smile, Mankey rests on their spot again, which is your shoulder. You repeat the cycle. Petting them, asking how they are and smiling. Green does the same for their pokemon. "Hey Bob! How's my Sauce?"

-Bulba!

A bit of laughing goes and you two walk to the destination. Now with Green again, It feels better! Feels nice, being able to talk with someone who can actually respond with other words then Man or Key. As if Mankey is the only pokemon y-

Oh fuck, Spearow.

You look at the second pokeball you have in your hand, a bit nervous to even let them out. Green notices and looks at you. "Oh! Is that the second pokemon you got! That weird edgy spearow you said? C'mon! Show me!" "They don't look like that anymore...At least, Last time I checked..."
