Chapter XIII

The next morning, (Y/n) started to wake up, she opened her eyes and saw Sesshomaru sleeping beside her while hugging her. 

"S..s..sesshomaru," she murmured in surprise. Sesshomaru hugged (Y/n) tighter, making her face turn red. (Y/n) wanted to push Sesshomaru, but didn't; instead, she stroked Sesshomaru's head. Sesshomaru then opened his eyes and woke up. 

"Good morning (Y/n), you're awake," said Sesshomaru, yawning. (Y/n), seeing Sesshomaru like a child, chuckled softly. 

"Good morning, Sesshomaru," replied (Y/n). Sesshomaru turned to (Y/n), nodded, and then yawned again. 

(Y/n) chuckled softly, "How long has it been since you slept so soundly?" she asked. 

"A long time," replied Sesshomaru. (Y/n) just smiled, then stood up and stretched her body. 

"Alright, let's go, I'm sure Rin and Jaken have been waiting for you since yesterday," said (Y/n). Sesshomaru woke up and nodded.

Elsewhere, "So, Renkotsu-aneki, is Inuyasha still alive?" Jakotsu asked. "He's still alive, so don't worry," Renkotsu replied. 

"Thank goodness, I was thinking about Inuyasha, cuz when I fought Koga, I didn't like it very much," Jakotsu said. "So you let him escape? that's not like you," Renkotsu asked. 

"What else could I do? He's running super fast," Jakotsu replied. "Well, never mind," Renkotsu said while checking the temperature of the iron smelting furnace. 

"Alright, that's enough (turning to Ginkotsu) wait for a minute, Ginkotsu, you will be reborn with an even stronger body," Renkotsu said. 

"Yes," Ginkotsu replied, nodding. 

"Renkotsu-aneki, I also saw (Y/n)-chan when I was about to catch up with Mukotsu. It seems she came to pick up Mukotsu, cuz when I got there, Mukotsu was already defeated," Jakotsu said. 

"Hmm...?" Renkotsu replied, glancing at Jakotsu, "Are you sure?" Renkotsu continued. Jakutsu nodded, "Alright, we will inform Bankotsu about this," said Renkotsu.

Back to (Y/n), (Y/n) is currently walking alone towards Mt. Hakurei, having parted ways with Sesshomaru due to her duty. Not long after, she saw a village and walked to it. (Y/n) saw a house with children in it, but the focus was not on the children but on Miko and a man who was talking. 

"Kikyo-nee-chan?" (Y/n) asked. "Yes?" she replied while turning towards (Y/n), who called her. 

Kikyo was surprised to see (Y/n), "Y/n, what are you doing here?" Kikyo asked. 

"Uhmm..." (Y/n) didn't answer Kikyo's question and just glanced at the children. 

"Ooo... okay, I forgot, you are doing your duty?" Kikyo said. 

(Y/n) nodded. (Y/n) then turned to the man who had been talking to Kikyo earlier, "Suikotsu?" I murmured upon seeing the man. 

"Um... excuse me, do I know you, Miko?" Suikotsu asked. (Y/n) removed her hat and veil, and Suikotsu was surprised, "(Y/n)!!!" 

(Y/n) smiled, "Long time no see, Doctor Sui," (Y/n) replied. (Y/n) and Suikotsu then chatted and forgot about Kikyo's presence. Kikyo was confused by what had just happened, it was the first time (Y/n) had removed her hat and veil in front of someone else besides her.

"Um..." Kikyo's words were interrupted when Suikotsu spoke, "Ah... forgive me, Kikyo-sama, (Y/n) is the Miko who used to help me treat people when I was in Village xxx," said Suikotsu. 

"Oh... alright," Kikyo replied. "Sorry, Kikyo-nee, I didn't tell you hehehe," said (Y/n). 

Kikyo smiled, "It's okay." "Wait, you two know each other?" Suikotsu asked in surprise. (Y/n) and Kikyo turned to Suikotsu and chuckled softly. 

"Yes, we know each other, especially since Kikyo-nee is a teacher and friend whom I consider like my sister," (Y/n) replied. 

"Wow... what an unexpected reunion," Suikotsu said. Then the three of them laughed together until someone shouted calling Suikotsu, 

"Dr. Suikotsu, can you help my father? He fell and hurt his leg while working," said the young man carrying his father.

Suikotsu moved quickly and told the young man to bring his father inside. (Y/n) and Kikyo followed them, the young man's father's leg was injured and also broken. Kikyo helped Suikotsu treat the young man's father. (Y/n) held the young man's father to prevent him from moving too much. 

Sukotsu saw the blood and started to panic, 'he's still the same as before, I have to be careful,' (Y/n) thought to herself, then she glanced at Kikyo. Kikyo understood (Y/n)'s intention and told Sukotsu to rest, and Kikyo continued the treatment with (Y/n). 

The treatment went smoothly, (Y/n) chatted with the young man's father and gave him the medicine. After that, (Y/n) walked closer to Kikyo, "Y/n, I know you know about Suikotsu," said Kikyo. 

(Y/n) nodded, "I know, the jewel shard he possesses is very pure... (muttering softly) for now, cuz Suikotsu is on the good side," said (Y/n). 

"The good side?" "What do you mean?" Kikyo asked (Y/n). 

"Purity is impurity, impurity is purity, good is evil, evil is good, death means life, life means death, in the land of St. Hakushin, Mount Hakurei is home to the saint," (Y/n) replied, walking towards Suikotsu who was washing his hands. 

Kikyo watched (Y/n) and her expression looked sad. "How much do you know about them, (Y/n)?" Kikyo murmured.

The next day, (Y/n) woke up and approached Kikyo. "Kikyo-nee, I'm going out for a bit, I'll be back soon, there's something I need to take care of," said (Y/n). 

"Alright, be careful," Kikyo said, stroking (Y/n)'s head. 

(Y/n)'s face turned red, "I-I'm not a child anymore, Kikyo-nee," (Y/n) said shyly. 

Kikyo just chuckled softly, "Alright, I'll be going now," (Y/n) replied again. Just a few steps later, (Y/n) turned around and said, "Be on guard, protect the children, they will come." 

Kikyo was confused by (Y/n)'s words, and when she wanted to ask, (Y/n) was already gone.

POV (Y/n)

I went to do my task, I arrived at a temple and entered the temple. I saw the grave, "Renkotsu" I murmured, I was collecting the souls of the monks who were there. On the way, I felt a shard of the Shikon Jewel fragment. 

'This shard belongs to Kohaku,' I thought to myself while continuing to run towards the Shikon Jewel fragment. I saw Kohaku and walked towards him. Kohaku turned to me and was surprised. "Who are you?" asked Kohaku. 

'He doesn't remember me, aaa... yes, at that time he was under father influence,' I sighed. 

"I'm sorry, I'm a Miko, I'm on my way to Mount Hakurei. Did I startle you? I'm sorry, I didn't mean to," I said. 

"Aaa... umm... no, it's okay," replied Kohaku. 

'He's a good kid,' I smiled, "aaa... yes, sorry, I forgot to introduce myself, I'm (Y/n), a wandering miko, and you?" I asked. 

"Aa... uhm... Kohaku," replied Kohaku shyly.

I chuckled softly, "What a cute name," I said, Kohaku's face turned red. "So, what are you doing here? Where is your family?" I asked. 

When Kohaku heard my question, his expression turned sad, "aaa... forgive me if you can't tell, it's not a problem for me," I said. Kohaku smiled, but it was a sad smile. I chatted and laughed with Kohaku. 

Until, "Y/n-nee-chan, could you postpone your trip to Mount Hakurei?" said Kohaku. "Hmm... why?" I asked him. 

"Aaa... it's nothing, I just want you to arrive safely at your destination because you look tired, hehehe," said Kohaku.

Then, Kohaku stood up, "I'll go first," said Kohaku, and then ran away. "Wai..t" I tried to stop him but he had already disappeared. 

"Hmm... I'll go back to that village. Besides, I already know they will go to that village to pick him up," I muttered while walking back to the village.
