Chapter VIII

(Y/n) woke up from her sleep "Rasetsu" (Y/n) mumbled. "Waaa... Jaken-sama the water is freezing" shouted Rin while laughing with Jaken who splashed the water at Rin. I stood up and walked out, washing my face. 

'Rasetsu... should I take him?' asked (Y/n) in his mind. 'Yes', a voice answered in her mind, 'alright, Shi' answered (Y/n). 

"Ooo... (Y/n)-sama (waving her hand) good morning" said Rin running while hugging (Y/n). (Y/n) pathed Rin's head "Good morning" answered (Y/n).

Sesshomaru came over, 'are you leaving?' asked Sesshomaru. (Y/n) nodded 'I have to do something' answered (Y/n). Sesshomaru nodded, (Y/n) smiled, seeing (Y/n) smile, Sesshomaru's face turned red. 

"Rin, I'm going to go take care of yourself," said (Y/n), "Oooo...(with a sad expression) are you coming back again?" Rin asked. 

(Y/n) was confused about what to answer and looked at Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru just nodded, (Y/n) looked back at Rin and smiled "yes" she answered. Rin smiled and let go of his hug. "Be careful," said Rin, waving his hand. 

(Y/n) walked away from them following Rasetsu's whereabouts. (Y/n) passed several villages following Rasetsu's whereabouts, 'I hope I don't have to kill that person, just take him', said (Y/n) in her mind. 

Occasionally she stops in several of these villages to help them eradicate the demons that plague their villages. (Y/n) was in a foggy lake, and then an arrow landed right in front of her. 'This arrow...' said (Y/n) while taking the arrow, "Kikyo-nee-chan" (Y/n) muttered.

POV Kikyo

I was walking after defeating the demon that was bothering the residents in the village, and suddenly an old soldier blocked me. I stopped walking and looked at the soldier. 

"Give me the money you received, I'm sure you will get paid a lot after defeating the demon," said the soldier while pointing a knife at me. "I don't have it" I answered, "lie..! "I'm sure they gave you a lot of money," said the soldier, not believing my words. 

"I'm not lying. If you want, you can check me," I answered, spreading my arms to show that I allowed the soldier to check me. 

Then the soldier lowered his weapon and leaned against a tree, "You don't have it," said the soldier while coughing. 'He has a very serious illness, he won't live much longer' I said in my mind while looking at him.

"What are you looking at, go away," said the soldier. "Hmm... Shikon Jewel shards," I said, the soldier was surprised, "hmm... those shards are what kept you alive, is that true?" I said. 

"I am 70 years old, if other normal men only survive until they are 50 years old, I live too long," said the soldier. "But I can't die now," continued the soldier. 

"What do you do with the fragments?" I asked. The soldier coughed "I still have to find a peaceful place to rest..." said the soldier before he finished because he coughed and finally fainted. I approached the man and took him to a safe place.

No POV

(Y/n) walked following Kikyo's aura, stopping at a tree. "Rasetsu together with Kikyo-nee" muttered (Y/n) walking following their aura. It was getting dark and not long after (Y/n) found an old temple, she walked in, when she wanted to open the door. 

"You haven't finished your story yet," said a girl's voice inside. 'Kikyo-nee?!' said (Y/n) not opening the door. Instead, she leaned near the entrance and listened to their conversation. "I'm looking to find the right place to rest," said a man. 'Rasetsu' said (Y/n) in her mind.

"A proper resting place?" asked Kikyo, "Yes, when I was young I did a lot of evil things," said Rasetsu. 

"Kansuke, The Mad Killer Rasetsu, at that time that name was very famous, I destroyed many villages, killed, stole, and looted, I did everything I liked," he continued. 

Kikyo listened to Rasetsu's story, without them realizing (Y/n) who was outside was listening too. "I realized that I would die one day, that's why I did what I liked, I was also stubborn at first," said Rasetsu looking at Kikyo. "What is it?" Kikyo asked. 

"This makes me forget that I'm old, I also remember silly things from that time," he continued. "I've also seen people who look like you before," said Rasetsu again. "Who's she?" asked Kikyo, "That person's name is Kikyo", said Rasetsu. 

Kikyo was just silent when she heard Rasetsu's answer. Rasetsu didn't know yet that the one who was helping and caring for him at the moment was Kikyo.

Rasetsu continued his story that he also worked with a person named Onigumo. Onigumo tells Rasestu about the Shikon Jewel, a jewel that can grant all the wishes we ask for. 

And told me that this jewel was guarded by a Miko named Kikyo, and he tried to take it and seize it but she was protected by a strong man, he had white hair and also wore a red Yukata, I was almost killed by that person but he was called by Kikyo and leaves saying you are very lucky otherwise he would have killed me and leaves.

(Y/n) listened to Rasetsu's story, 'Onigumo wasn't that Dad's name before he changed to Naraku' she said in her mind. 

Rasetsu continued the story, 'So that was the beginning of Onigumo turning into Naraku, well... it was also Dad's fault when he was Onigumo he tricked Rasetsu into taking his troops and wealth, but his plan didn't go smoothly, it turned out that Rasetsu wasn't killed by Inuyasha, in return Rasestu burned him, then threw him in a ravine and the end Onigumo was found by Kikyo-nee and what happened next was the incident where he became Naraku, father's first love turned out to be Kikyo-nee (grinning with sad eyes) this is very funny,' said (Y/n) in his mind.

'I felt a demon approaching, maybe because he felt the Shikon Jewel shard that Rasetsu was carrying,' said (Y/n) in her mind. 

(Y/n) stood in front of the door and guarded the place from future demon attacks. Kikyo, from inside, felt an evil aura approaching and opened the door, but was surprised to see someone already standing guard in front of the door. 

"(Y/n)" Kikyo muttered, (Y/n) turned to Kikyo and looked at her. "Go inside Kikyo-nee I will handle this one, talk to him", said (Y/n). 

Kikyo knew what (Y/n) meant and went back inside. Then the demon was in front of (Y/n) and attacked her while saying "Don't get in my way, give me the Shikon Jewel shard" the demon shouted. 

The demon has many eyes, has a round shape, and has a lot of hair. (Y/n) took out her scythe this time, "You..!!!" said the Demon in surprise. 

"Sorry you couldn't get past me," said (Y/n) avoiding and repelling the demon's attacks. Then when (Y/n) found a flaw, she cut the demon into small pieces. A ball of light appeared from the demon's body and (Y/n) carried it.

(Y/n) went inside, when Rasetsu gave Kikyo the shard of the Shikon jewel, as well as a lock of his hair, and asked Kikyo to find a peaceful place for him to rest. 

(Y/n) watched Rasestu slowly close his eyes, then saw his spirit wake up and leave his body "Are you ready to go?" (Y/n) asked Rasetsu's spirit. "You'll be the one to deliver him?" Kikyo asked without looking at (Y/n). 

"Yes" answered (Y/n), Kikyo nodded "Goodbye" Kikyo muttered. Rasetsu's spirit heard Kikyo's words, he nodded and walked towards (Y/n), all Kikyo saw was a ball of blue light approaching (Y/n). But unlike (Y/n), he saw Rasetsu in human form walking towards him. 

After that, "Let's go," said (Y/n) walking to take Rasetsu to his proper place. But (Y/n) stopped "Nice to meet you Kikyo-nee even though you are in another form", said (Y/n) walking away and leaving Kikyo there. Hearing this, Kikyo shed tears. 

(Y/n) walked on the bridge connecting the world of death and the world of life, delivering Rasetsu and the soul of the Demon she killed. 

Resetsu walked following (Y/n) until (Y/n) stopped at a gate, "I only accompany you until here, the rest you have to go through that gate," said (Y/n) while pointing towards the gate of death. 

"Thank you," said Rasetsu and went through the gate along with the soul of the demon that was killed by (Y/n).
