"Told you something was off about those birds," I muttered to Lou Ellen as we headed in the direction of the arena.
I could practice now that Percy wasn't there to show off and take us all down.
"I told you I thought you were being cranky!"
"Whatever."
I willed my sword to appear.
"Never knew how you could just *snap* do that."
"It's easy for me like spells are easy for you."
"Fair enough. Hecate was nice enough to claim both of us."
"Yeah at least we aren't as unimportant as undetermined kids." I said.
"Yeah."
Lou Ellen went and grabbed a standard camp sword.
"Hey, you wanna practice against each other?" I called.
"Sure I guess."
"Kinda wish Luke hadn't betrayed us 'cause he could teach us some useful stuff." I admitted.
"You didn't wish he didn't betray us before?"
"No I did. It's just...it really sucks to have our best swordfighter on the opposing side."
"Yep."
We readied our swords and started fighting.
