I parked the car before getting out, I removed my sunglasses before walking around to Jya's side. Before I could open the door she opened it, she fixed her hair. Which was in two space buns with little pieces of hair hanging out. She looked so adorable.
"I had it." I said.
"I know." She smiled.
I rolled my eyes and thumped her nose, she winced before she hit me back.
"You know what due to the fact that you're about to meet your mother in law, I'm not going to beat you up." I said pointing at her.
She rolled her eyes and waved me off.
"My mother in law will love me." She smiled.
I smiled and grabbed her collar she looked at my lips before looking at my eyes.
"She will, come on." I said.
She smiled as I grabbed her hand, our friendship...was more than a friendship. We both knew that, yet neither one of us said anything. Why? Was she waiting on me? I needed to tell her immediately on New Years Eve!
"Mom." I called as we stepped into the house.
I glanced down the hall to see my mother come out the kitchen. She smiled before she picked up the pace, she embraced me in a hug and pecked my cheek.
"Gosh, look at you. I missed you." She said grabbing my face.
"I missed you too." I chuckled.
"I made all of your favorites." She said.
I smiled as she embraced me in another hug.
"This is Jya. Jya this is my mother." I said.
"It's a pleasure to meet you." Jya said.
My mother nudge me and smirked.
"Likewise, Bam has told me so much about you." She smiled embracing Jya into a tight hug.
"Hope it was good things." Jya giggled.
"Of course." She smiled.
I chuckled.
"Mom, I hope you didn't cook too much." I said.
"Of course I did, go get cleaned up while I set the table." She said.
I nodded.
"I'll give Jya a tour." I said.
She nodded before walking away, I grabbed Jya's hand before we walked upstairs.
"This is my room." I said opening the door.
She walked inside before looking at the trophies I received in grade school. She grabbed a photo and smiled.
"You were such a cute kid." She smiled.
I chuckled and popped my collar.
