Jya Chambers

I sighed as I looked at the building, I opened the door and hopped out of my car.

"It's just an hour." I mumble closing the door.

I walked into the building and let out a breath.

"Jya." Georgia smile.

"Hi, I'm sorry I've been MIA. A lot has been going on." I said.

She patted my back and shook her head.

"It's fine, for these sessions to work you have to show up. It's a process not a one stop shop." She explain.

I nodded my head.

"I completely understand." I said.

"Jya, it's good to see you." Callie smile.

"Hi." I said sitting down.

She sat beside me.

"I heard you got engaged, congratulations." She said.

I looked at my ring and smile.

"Yeah." I nodded.

"Welcome Jya back everyone." Georgia said.

Everyone clapped as I smile awkwardly might I add.

"So Jya, tell us what's new?" Georgia ask.

"Straight to me...um I'm engaged. I finally finish furnishing my house-"

"Jya...you know what I'm talking about." Georgia chuckled.

I sigh, damn it.

"My sister always instilled be strong and I took it literally...I didn't have a chance to be weak or experience those emotions. I beat myself up when I feel anything other than strong." I said.

"You're human." Callie said.

I nodded as I fiddled with my fingers.

"That's what you have to remember when it comes to that. You're not a robot." Georgia added.

"Have you talk to your sister?"

I looked at Chris and nodded.

"Yeah, she apologize. She didn't realize how strong her words were back then. I want to stay in this group until I can go to a concert with no headphones...until I can bare loud noises." I said.

Georgia nodded.

"That's good to hear Jya." She smile.

"Yeah...Thank you guys for listening." I said.

"Of course." Chris smiled.

"With your engagement does your trauma affect anything?" Georgia ask.

"No, when I'm with him. I don't think about my trauma, I'm safe...and he knows almost everything..." I trailed.
