Jya Chambers

I looked at the empty streets and Los Angeles and sipped my tea. Josie and Mark house was beautiful, I see why they needed 6 bed rooms.

"Hey, you're up early." Jalyza mumbled sitting beside me.

"Couldn't sleep anyway." I sighed.

"So last night was one for the books." She said.

I nodded as I took a sip of my tea.

"Want to talk about why you were crying?" She asked.

"I miss my man." I shrugged.

She rubbed my back and chuckled.

"How much time is left?" She asked.

"A month, but I'm going to Thailand this Friday." I explained.

"That's good." She smiled.

"Yeah." I said.

"Are you sure you're-"

"Why'd you always tell me to be strong Jalyza?" I asked interrupting me.

"What do you mean?" She asked.

"When we were younger, you always told me to be strong. Be strong for your sisters...it bothers me." I said.

"Bother you how?" She asked.

"I never experienced vulnerability...weakness." I sighed.

She sat back as I continued.

"I don't give myself a chance to be hurt. Until I met Bam, before that every time I felt sad I felt bad. Your words plays in my head over and over and over. Be strong Jya...be strong...I can't be strong forever." I said shaking my head.

She sucked in her breath and sat up.

"I'm sorry...I never knew my words had that effect on you. Jya...you are human...it's ok to not be ok sis." She said.

I sniffed and nodded.

"I love you and I am so sorry." She said embracing me in a hug.

I sniffed as she pecked my cheek.

"I love you too." I said.

"I'm going to go check on JJ." She said standing.

I nodded as she walked away. I felt my phone vibrate and smiled seeing Bam calling. I answered it placing the phone onto my ear.

"Hey baby, how'd you sleep?" He asked.

"I didn't get much. How was your day?" I asked.

"It was good, did you have nightmares or is it your anxiety?" He asked.

I closed my eyes.

"I...I just miss you." I said.

"Hey...I miss you too. What's going on?" He asked.
