Vivian made her way over to room ten where they had taken Siobhan and knocked gently on the door.
"Is my time up already?" Siobhan's conflicted voice floated through the barrier, carrying a hint of vulnerability. Vivian's heart fluttered as she placed her hand on the handle and turned it to open the door. "Not quite." A grin, far too smug yet filled with warmth, spread across her face.
"Viv, how did you..." Siobhan sat in the middle of a small, dimly lit room, her surprise evident.
Vivian smiled softly and tilted her head to the side. "I set a little extra aside, and I bribed your dancer to tell me if you sent him away."
"How did you know I would?" Siobhan's brows crinkled as she searched Vivian's eyes. In that moment, it was intoxicating—the rare and precious feeling of being seen, truly seen, for the first time in years.
Vivian walked over to her slowly, a sense of urgency threading through her words. "I had a feeling you had... other things on your mind." With a quick, decisive motion, she grabbed the back of the chair and straddled Siobhan, settling into her lap before the blonde even realized what was happening. "You, me, no phones. What's truly going on with you, Bon-Bon?"
For a moment, Siobhan's breath hitched, completely taken aback by the sudden intimacy of having the raven-haired woman on her lap. As her lungs filled with air again, she struggled to absorb the weight of Vivian's words. The last thing she wanted to do was confess that she was even more flawed than anyone could imagine.
Perhaps she and Roger were truly meant for each other.
Siobhan's gaze dropped from the piercing dark grey eyes that seemed to search her very soul, trapped in her disassociation.
Vivian gently placed her index finger on Siobhan's chin, lifting her face so their eyes locked together. "I know that look." She recognized it all too well, a reflection of her own struggles when the shadows of her past loomed too large. "Whatever it is, I promise I won't judge you or see you differently." With a soft touch, she brushed Siobhan's hair behind her ear, her gesture tender and sincere.
Siobhan leaned her face into Vivian's hand, a flicker of vulnerability shining through. "Do you ever just want to hide memories away and never think about them again?" She closed her eyes, savoring the warmth of that emotional sanctuary.
Vivian looked at her with unwavering affection. "Of course." In that moment, she felt like the only one allowed to witness Siobhan's quiet softness.
The blonde opened her hazel eyes, locking onto Vivian's gaze. "What do you do with them?"
Gently, Vivian rubbed her thumb along Siobhan's cheek. "I remind myself that the past is there to teach us what not to do in the future. Then, I try to forget and move on, at least until those feelings resurface."
"Viv?"
"Yeah?"
"Help me forget." Siobhan's hands found their way to the back of Vivian's neck, pulling her down into a kiss that ignited an electric spark between them.
Vivian couldn't resist the one thing she had craved for so long. Her mind wrestled with the morality of it all, but when Siobhan delicately traced her tongue over her lips, seeking an invitation, every coherent thought faded into a soft haze.
Siobhan's hands glided down Vivian's sides, resting possessively on her hips. As they finally pulled away to catch their breath, there was no hesitation—her lips found the sensitive crook of Vivian's neck, leaving behind soft, unnoticeable marks that followed the deep V of her top.
