Day 4 Susannah always says "the best time to live is now" she always says that when Ashlyn sits in my room for hours and only listen to music. Taylor Swift or Billie Eilish. Susannah only wants the best for them. Anytime. Always and everywhere. It can be annoying, but the fact that a person shows you how much you mean to them is even better. Everyone wants a person where you feel comfortable with and you know that you can trust this person. That you can trust a person no matter what happens next. She always has the best sayings or words for Blair. For everyone. And every time it helps. If you feel bad she has the right words to cheer you up or if you just need advice, she has the best. Everyone needs a Susannah in their life. Period.
Susannah Fisher. Without her, OUTER BANKS wouldn't be the same. Laurel and she have been best friends for years. Best friends forever as they say. Ashlyn has a best friend too but her Mom and Susannah are true best friends. That lasts forever.
The last four days have been really hard for Blair. Her parents broke up four months ago. Of course the days always look the same. Get up. Eat. Watch Netflix. Eat again. Take a shower or take a short walk from time to time. But no one should see her. She isn't ready to face her friends here in OUTER BANKS. Wait and see. The right time isn't right now. There is a knock on her door and Susannah comes in without waiting. "How are you, Blair?" She asks her and smiles her Susannah smile. She can do that well. Smile, smile and smile again. Blair is sitting on her bed and putting the laptop aside where shes watching some series on Netflix. "Good, why do you ask?" she shrugs my shoulders and pretend everything is fine. As if her parents hadn't just divorced. But she doesn't smile. Why should she? "You sit in your room all day" Susannah clarifies and sits on the edge of the bed. Blair already noticed by herself but thanks for the reminder. "I just wanted to know how you're doing." Susannah continues after Blair doesn't answer. The small talk shit again. She can't do that anymore. "Ash, I know it's hard. Your parents broke up that's never easy but it's going to pass. The pain, the sadness. All these feelings won't stay that way forever."
Is Susannah right? Can it all get better? She has no idea. Blair isn't sad about the fact that her parents got divorced. Shes sad that her Dad just kicked his own family out. That she will never see her friends again. Of course she has also friends here but it's not the same. It never is. OUTER BANKS is great. But forever? She doesn't want to live on an island that she usually only visited in the summer. Maybe she's exaggerating. Yes, it may be, but it's a change. She has to go to work here. Belly goes to school here from now on. Steven is going to college next year. And Blair? She doesn't want it to come to that yet. She didn't imagine having to work here in OUTER BANKS. This whole thing with the two tribes. Pogues and Kooks. That's childish. Don't they live in a world without putting each other down? Apparently not. Not in the OUTER BANKS
