Day 7 Susannah and Laurel always tell when everyone sits together at the table about the olden times. When the world was not yet shaped by the media. The parties back then were supposedly much more exciting and much more fun. People all knew each other and they danced to cool music. No one thought about their phone or posting a quick photo before the party starts. The times back then should have been much better.
Conrad doesn't listen properly anymore, but leaned back into the chair and silently followed the conversation.
In thirty minutes Kelce's party starts and the three of them are still sitting at the table because Susannah tells so much. Conrad, Steven and Blair go to Kelce's party because the three have contact with him. Belly is still too young to go to SUCH parties and Jeremiah just doesn't feel like going to a party. On top of that, he doesn't like Kelce. Then the two should not go to the party but Blair is already sitting impatiently on her chair and just waiting to finally be able to go.
Susannah insisted that everyone have dinner together, because otherwise it happens so rarely and she has been in the kitchen and cooked since this morning.
The plates are already empty but Susannah is still not ready. She drinks a sip of her sparkling wine and chuckles all the time. "Can we get up?" Conrad asks at some point "the party is about to start."
"Can't you talk to us a little bit more? Beck has so much to say." Laurel says and then looks over at Jeremiah and Steven who are busy on their phone. Steven is showing something on his phone right now. Laurel has never been a big fan of mobile phones and the media in general, which is why she always reacts a little angry when someone is on their phone and everyone is sitting at the table. "Steven I swear to god if you look at that phone on more time I'm putting it in the screen basket." Laurel warns her son, who immediately stops laughing.
"It's just we want to see your beautiful faces." Susannah adds with a smile and takes a sip of her drink before putting it back on the table.
"Can Dinner be a screen free zone?" Laurel asks and looks at Steven and Jeremiah "you know like the olden days."
Steven is not really convinced and is still looking at his phone. "Steven." Jeremiah looks at his friend and takes the phone away from him without further ado to throw it over the table, on a chair that stands against the wall and hits "Boom. Nailed it." Jeremiah says proudly and tightens his biceps. "Okay okay. We get it. You've been working out." Steven looks over to Conrad "You have to train even more. For the training camp."
