The Explosive Secret
The next day, it was business as usual in Class 1-A. Bakugo sat in his usual spot, arms crossed, glaring at anyone who dared to get close. Y/N walked in, confidently striding past him with a smug look on her face, knowing full well she’d been living rent-free in his head ever since their last encounter.
Eijiro Kirishima was the first to notice how Bakugo’s glare lingered just a little too long as Y/N passed. He raised an eyebrow and nudged Denki Kaminari, who was sitting next to him, with a mischievous grin forming on his face.
“Oi, you seeing what I’m seeing?” Kirishima whispered, chuckling quietly.
Kaminari followed his gaze, noticing Bakugo’s eyes locked on Y/N for a second too long. “No way. Is Bakugo actually into someone?” he whispered back, trying to stifle his laughter.
Mina Ashido, sitting across from them, caught on quickly, leaning over the table with wide, gleeful eyes. “Ooooh, who’s Bakugo crushing on?” she sang quietly, her eyes flicking between Bakugo and Y/N.
Sero, always the chill observer, finally glanced over and smirked. “He’s definitely acting weird around her,” he muttered, his eyes gleaming with amusement.

It wasn’t long before the Baku Squad’s teasing ramped up during lunch. Bakugo had barely started eating when Kirishima casually leaned over the table, resting his chin on his hand and shooting Bakugo a knowing look.
“So, Bakugo,” he began, trying to sound casual but failing miserably as he fought back a grin. “Anything new going on with you and… someone?” His tone was loaded with implication.
Bakugo’s eye twitched, his fork pausing mid-air as he glared at Kirishima. “What the fuck are you talking about, shitty hair?” he snapped, eyes narrowing dangerously.
Kirishima, completely unfazed, chuckled and shrugged. “Oh, nothing. Just wondering if maybe you’ve been, I don’t know, distracted lately?”
Kaminari leaned in from the side, nudging Bakugo’s arm playfully. “Yeah, you’ve been looking a little… preoccupied lately. Anything to do with a certain *someone*?” He shot a not-so-subtle glance toward Y/N, who was sitting a few tables away, laughing with her friends, completely unaware of the teasing going on.
Bakugo clenched his jaw, his palms already sparking with small explosions. “Shut the hell up before I blow your fucking heads off.”
Mina, never one to miss an opportunity, smirked mischievously. “Come on, Bakugo. We’ve all seen the way you look at her. It’s kinda cute, you know? Like you’re trying really hard *not* to care.”
At this point, Bakugo’s face was starting to heat up, a rare sight for someone who usually kept his cool (at least in his own way). He slammed his hand on the table, making everyone jump. “There’s nothing fucking going on, got it?! I don’t give a shit about her!”
But the Baku Squad was relentless.
“Oh, sure,” Sero said, grinning lazily. “You don’t care at all. That’s why you’ve been staring daggers at her for days, right?”
Mina leaned in, her grin widening. “Or why you get all flustered when she calls you *Boom Boom Boy*?”
Bakugo’s face turned a shade redder, the memory of that embarrassing moment flashing through his mind. “I’m gonna fucking kill all of you,” he growled, standing up abruptly, his hands crackling with small explosions as he prepared to storm off.
Before he could make his escape, Y/N casually walked over, completely unaware of the conversation that had just transpired. She glanced around at the grinning faces of the Baku Squad, then locked eyes with Bakugo, who was now visibly tense.
“Bakugo, you’re looking a little... stressed. Everything alright?” she asked, her voice dripping with fake concern, though the smirk tugging at the corner of her lips said otherwise.
The squad barely held in their laughter as Bakugo clenched his fists tighter, eyes blazing with fury. He couldn’t believe he was being teased not only by his so-called “friends” but also by *her*. And the worst part? She seemed to enjoy every second of it.
“Piss off, Y/N,” Bakugo snapped, though his voice lacked its usual bite.
“Aw, come on, *Boom Boom Boy*,” she teased, leaning in just a little too close, her breath warm against his ear. “Don’t be so grumpy. I thought we were getting along.”
Bakugo’s whole body stiffened, and for a brief moment, he forgot how to form words. The Baku Squad’s snickering didn’t help.
“Oh, shit,” Kaminari whispered, barely able to contain his laughter. “He’s so whipped.”
“Totally,” Sero agreed, his grin widening. “Did you see how red he’s getting?”
Kirishima couldn’t help but chuckle as well, though he felt a bit bad for Bakugo. “Come on, guys, give him a break. It’s not every day Bakugo gets this rattled.”
Y/N pulled back, winking at Bakugo before turning to leave. “See you around, Katsuki.” She emphasized his name just enough to make it sound intimate, sending him over the edge.
As soon as she was out of earshot, Bakugo exploded—literally. His hands sparked and popped, his eyes wild with frustration. “I’M GONNA FUCKING KILL EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU!”
But the Baku Squad only laughed harder, completely unfazed by his outburst. They had hit the jackpot with this one, and they weren’t going to let him live it down anytime soon.
“Whatever you say, man,” Kirishima said, patting Bakugo on the back with a wide grin. “But if you need any advice on how to handle her, just let us know, alright?”
Bakugo swatted his hand away, his face still red with a mix of rage and embarrassment. “Fuck off, I don’t need your shitty advice!”
As he stormed off, the Baku Squad burst into laughter once more, knowing full well they had just witnessed something rare—a side of Bakugo that only Y/N seemed to bring out.
