The Clueless Boyfriend

Bakugo stood by the classroom door, arms crossed, wearing his usual scowl. Being Y/N’s boyfriend was new territory for him, and despite his confidence in most things, dating was something he hadn’t quite figured out yet. He was Katsuki Bakugo—he didn’t ask for help. Yet, the uncertainty gnawed at him, and Y/N had clearly noticed his awkwardness over the past few days.

“Alright, Katsuki, let’s take it step by step,” Y/N said with a sly grin, grabbing his hand as they walked into the classroom together. Bakugo grunted, trying to keep his cool, but the moment they stepped inside, all eyes were on them. The Baku Squad, Deku, Todoroki, Tenya, and the rest of Class 1-A stared in disbelief. It wasn’t every day they saw the explosion king with a girl—let alone holding hands.

Mineta, ever the troublemaker, immediately leaned toward Kaminari, whispering something with a sleazy grin. Before he could finish, Bakugo’s sharp ears picked it up.

“Mineta, you little creep,” Bakugo growled, slamming his palm against the desk, sparks flying from his hand. In a flash, he was in Mineta’s face, the tiny pervert shrinking in fear. “Say one more word, and I’ll send you flying out of this classroom. Got it?”

“Y-Yes, Bakugo!” Mineta squeaked, backing away.

Todoroki, who had been watching the whole thing unfold, tilted his head slightly, his usual calm tone laced with surprise. “I never expected Bakugo to get a girlfriend.”

The room went silent for a moment as Bakugo glared at Todoroki, but Y/N just laughed, breaking the tension. “Guess he’s full of surprises.”

Later, the Baku Squad suggested hanging out after school, and Kirishima, always the wingman, pulled Bakugo aside. “Yo, Bakugo, here’s something for you two.” He handed over a pair of movie tickets with a grin. “It’s for the weekend. You should take Y/N.”

Bakugo, who still wasn’t used to this whole ‘dating’ thing, awkwardly shoved the ticket into Y/N’s hand without a word. His face turned a slight shade of pink as he muttered, “We’re going.”

Y/N chuckled, clearly amused. “I’d love to go, Katsuki.”

When the weekend arrived, Y/N showed up at Bakugo’s dorm room to meet him before the movie. She found him standing there, looking torn between two hoodies—one black and purple with a skull on it and the other plain black. His indecision was almost comical, and Y/N raised an eyebrow.

“You don’t like the skull one?” he asked, trying to hide his uncertainty.

“It’s cute,” Y/N said with a playful grin. “But the black one looks good too.”

Grumbling under his breath, Bakugo finally chose the black hoodie and pulled it over his head. Y/N, always one step ahead, suddenly tugged him toward the bed with a mischievous glint in her eye.

“Sit down,” she instructed, and Bakugo, though confused, sat next to her on the bed. Y/N held up her hand, forming a half heart with her fingers. “Now, do this with your hand.”

Bakugo stared at her, utterly lost. “What?”

Y/N chuckled softly. “Here, like this.” She gently guided his fingers until he formed the other half of the heart. Their hands touched, completing the shape. Bakugo’s face instantly went red, and he pulled away as if the contact had burned him.

“I—uh—I gotta go,” he stammered, bolting from the bed and heading for the door, his heart racing.

“Katsuki, wait!” Y/N called, laughing as she ran after him. “You can’t leave me behind like this!”

He stopped just outside the door, glancing back with a flustered, embarrassed expression. Y/N caught up to him, her laughter echoing in the hallway. She grabbed his hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. “Relax, I’m not going anywhere.”

Bakugo looked away, trying to hide his smile. “Yeah, whatever.”

But inside, he knew—he’d never let her out of his sight again.
