THE DOLL'S KNIGHT...

CHAPTER- 7

THE UNFLURED CARDS OF THE PAST...

Ishana moved along the corner of the huge living, as her eyes fell on a bunch of red roses beautifully placed in an expensive glass vase.

She smiled emptily as she caressed the roses gently only to hiss as a thorn pierced her finger & the vase fell down from it's place shattering like diamonds on the white floor making Ishana smile at it, as she leaned in & picked up a rose from the bunch, the one whose thorn pierced her finger, not caring how her hand started bleeding from the broken piece of the vase when she picked up the rose. The pain of flesh, a distraction from the emotional pain brewing within her.

She caressed the rose with her bloodied hand as she moved back to where everyone was.

"Thorns are meant to guard the rose... But what if they themselves make the rose bleed?" asked she rhetorically tilting her head as the bloodied rose was taken from her hand by the Knight, making her eye him gravely, her eyes nothing but a hollow of dark emotions sucking her within like the deepest abyss, her question an accusation to him, the accusation he knew not how to defend himself from, ready to be convicted for all her grievances against him.

The Knight held her hand, looking at the blood flowing out of it, making him lean in & kiss her injury, his eyes not deviating from hers even for a while.Ishana got her hand free of his & her eyes fell on the shattered vase.

"Some things are meant to break, & so are some beings... But some cursed beings are made to shatter in countless ways...." spoke she, loosing herself back to the dreadful memories of her shattering, her pieces not so beautiful as the vase's, but her edges sharper, hurting her own self, bleeding her own soul within...

It was a pleasant day with pleasant weather, as little Ishana settled on the backseat with her parents, pouting for her both cousins didn't join her. Like her Tara Bhaiya, Kannu too had an exam & she too will come with her Tara Bhaiya only... Like why did these exams had to come on her birthday, don't they know it's Shanu's special day? How can they make Shanu sad & feel alone on her b'day, complained she to her parents & herself, who listened to her shaking their heads at the little girl's self-centeredness...

But can they blame her? No! Kids her age are often the same, thinking the world revolves around them, they being the most important beings of the world.

Her mother was explaining Ishana the importance of examinations & what they really are, cause as per Princess Shanu, exams are the vilest thing present on this planet cause it always busies everyone, they can't even play or sleep properly when they have exams, & everyone around her is so scared of them.

As Ishana listened to her mother lips parted eyes widened, taking in all the knowledge she was given, they reached the temple.

The two cars ahead of them of their guards, & three behind them, one of her Uncle-Aunt & the rest two of the guards. All the cars were slowly setting towards the parking.
