Yeosang's POV
Two months had passed since that day they found out everything.
All the members had treated me differently, so different that I wonder if they didn't know the story, would it be the same?
My gut says otherwise.
I appreciate all the effort they showed to mend our friendship as it used to. But I just didn't have it in me to reciprocate their effort. I know they noticed that I've been putting a distance and boundaries between us, and I am also aware it just a matter of time until Hongjoong hyung talks to me about it. I had forgiven them a long time ago, but I guess it's better to leave things as it is.
What's the point in trying?
After all, I will leave no matter what.
Today, we have an award show to attend. Our performance will approximately take about 9 minutes and 30 seconds. I looked in the mirror in front of me, my hair had become longer, my cheekbones look prominent now that I lose all fat on my face, my brown eyes stand out more against my pale face. But still, I am scared of what they always said.
That I don't deserve the visual title.
It was true.
I shook my head, focusing on memorizing the dance steps inside my head, rubbing my palm together as I feel colder than usual. The weather had been off recently, maybe because we are approaching winter. It's almost winter. Means my contract with the agency will end soon.
The agency had contacted me previously, asking if I already made a decision regarding the contract. I told them the truth that I have no intentions to continue no matter what they offered me.
Because I've had lost my purpose.
I am not interested anymore.
My thoughts interrupted by the staffs, asking us to get ready backstage.
"You look so good!" San said, awkwardly before we went up the stage.
"Thanks, you too" I replied quietly.
"Yeosang-ie, should we play video games after this? Whoever lose need to pay for barbeque!" Wooyoung shouted, putting his arms around my shoulder.
"No, thanks. I think I want to rest" I replied.
"Then, how about I treat you to your favorite ice cream place?" Wooyoung asked again.
"Sure, only because you're paying" I replied.
"Yeayy!" He yelled straight to my ears.
I couldn't say no to him. I love him too much for that.
We performed very well, as expected a lot of fans enjoyed the performance. I can see their happy and exciting face from on the stage. I think they'd like our break dance the most.
I smiled to myself, thought I did a great job. Not just me, all of us actually.
After our performance ended, we were instructed to go back to our dressing room for a short break. I was at the last in line. Suddenly, a female staff came to me and said,
"Sorry to interrupt you but the audio director wants to meet you, Yeosang-shi. He wants to show you something," she said. Because the backstage area is so dim and the female staff was wearing a face mask, I was unable to see her well. I simply followed her without thinking. Also, we worked with the audio director multiple times before, so I didn't question much. She leads me into a room. I can see a lot of props inside, and the room appears bright from a distance.
