"I'm bored," Dhruv announced and slumped down on the table dramatically.

Shubman nodded solemnly and slid down against the foot of the table. "There's no practice, and we don't even have a match this week. Let's do something."

Ashwin rolled his eyes at their antics and turned to look at Rohit, who was already frowning at them.

"Uth waha se," Rohit snapped at them loudly, startling the boys into standing up straight instantly. "Bore ho rahe hai bakchod. Park mein aaye ho?"

Shubman and Dhruv looked down sulkily at being scolded and turned to Ashwin, who avoided and looked away quickly.

Rahul walked into the room with two cups of coffee, handing one to Ashwin and settling on the bean bag beside him.

"What happened to these chipmunks now?" Rahul inquired, making Ash chuckle while the duo looked mildly offended at the name.

Rohit shook his head disappointedly and chucked a cushion in their direction. "They woke up at eleven and just came down for breakfast, and they're bored now."

Dhruv ducked just in time while the cushion hit Shubman on the head, and he whined loudly.

"Ek toh aaj off day hai, there is nothing to do," Shubman said pointedly, and Rohit was about to speak again when he quickly added.

"Aur Virat bhaiya hote toh pakka kuch na kuch plan karwa dete ab tak." Shubman crossed his arms and gave him a smug look.

Cue another cushion that came flying towards his head.

"First of all, it's not an off-day. It's supposed to be voluntary practice for whoever is interested," Ashwin reminded them.

Shubman rolled his eyes and picked the cushion, hugging it to his chest. "Voluntary practice is an oxymoron. No one does that."

"Your Virat bhaiya does," Rahul said as he sipped his coffee. "He's been practising with the spinners since seven am."

Shubman and Dhruv looked scalded, and they were about to rush to see it for themselves when Virat walked into the team room.

His entire body was covered in sweat, and his practice jersey had mud stains all over them. Shubman could swear there was a red bruise near his shoulders, but when Virat saw them, his lips automatically lifted in a small smile.

"Uth gaye tum dono? I thought you'd still be sleeping," Virat remarked as he sat down and started taking off his equipment.

Shubman was instantly at his side, "Ek aap hi ho jo humse pyaar karte hai bhaiya. Baaki toh bas sab tana marte rehte hai." He said with a loud sigh.

"Kyu? Kya hua?" Virat asked, sounding genuinely concerned, and Rohit rolled his eyes at the tone.

"Virat, you're spoiling them. They woke up at eleven, that's enough sleep even for a newborn," Rohit walked towards them and kicked Shubman in the back.

Shubman yelped and rubbed the spot on his back, shooting a hurt look in Rohit's direction.

"Come on, Ro. It's not like they were going to turn up for practice anyways," Virat said as he packed his kit bag properly.

"Bhaiya, not you too," Shubman cried loudly, while Dhruv just shrugged and sat beside Ashwin.

"Achcha bol ab kya hua," Virat asked, ruffling the younger boy's hair fondly.

Shubman sat up like an excited puppy, "Kuch karte hai na bhai aaj. We're so bored sitting here like this."

"Look, you guys go out, have fun. I think there's a new movie releasing. Watch that, and return by dinner." Virat suggested as he grabbed a bottle of water.
