(a continuation of the last rohirat fic, but can be read as standalone too)
Jaddu clenched his jaw when Rohit stopped the waiter and took another glass, drowning it quickly.
"Will you stop acting like a goddamned child?" Jaddu snapped at him as soon as the people they were talking to walked away, and snatched the glass of alcohol.
Rohit breathed out shakily and looked around, "Are you sure he's coming?"
Jaddu rolled his eyes at the hopeful edge to his voice but nodded in response.
"Why isn't he here yet? It's already so late," Rohit mumbled as he looked at his watch.
Jaddu shook his head and dragged him to sit at a table near the back where the boys were sitting, before anyone could spot him.
"Please don't let him have any more to drink," Jaddu instructed Shreyas and Ishan before walking towards the bar.
"What happened to Rohit bhai?" Shubman asked him as he ordered a lemonade at the bar.
Jaddu stole a glance towards Rahul, who stood beside him with an impassive face and sighed loudly.
"He's just antsy because Virat's going to be here," Jaddu said defeatedly and ordered another drink for himself.
"But it's Mahi bhai's birthday, of course Virat bhaiya will be here. Isme kya hai?" Shubman asked with an easy chuckle.
His chuckle died when he realized that neither of them were laughing with him.
"They're going to see each other after two years," Rahul said with a strained smile and drowned his drink in one go.
Shubman's eyes widened at that, "You mean they haven't met since the World Cup?"
Rahul's lips quirked up in a crooked smirk and he shrugged. "You could say that."
"Mujhe toh yeh bhi nahi pata ki break up hua kyu tha," Shubman complained and both the men looked at him in surprise.
"Who told you that they dated?" Jaddu asked curiously, "Because I know Rohit never talks about it."
"Virat bhai ne bataya," Shubman shrugged easily and twirled the straw around in his glass.
"He still talks about Rohit?" Rahul inquired, exhaling loudly when Shubman shook his head.
"Not really. But it's not that difficult to find that out, it was all over the news at one time. I found a picture and asked him about it. He didn't try to hide it, just said that they casually dated for a while."
Jaddu snorted loudly, "Casual my ass."
The kid had the same stubbornness that his cheeku once had, Jaddu knew he wasn't going to let it go now and sighed loudly.
"It was the classic best friends to lovers trope," Jaddu said with a shake of his head.
Shubman sat up straight, grinning excitedly and asked, "Who fell first?"
"Virat fell first," Rahul said in a strained voice. "And he kept falling harder."
Shubman's grin transformed into a frown. "What do you mean?"
