The sun had already begun its slow descent, casting a golden hue over the horizon as Jungkook's car cruised steadily down the highway. The rhythmic hum of the engine filled the otherwise quiet car.

Yoongi sat in the driver’s seat, focused on the road ahead, his expression calm and composed. Beside him, Jungkook stared out the window, lost in his thoughts, barely noticing the changing landscape as they neared Daegu.

In the back seat, Jimin gazed out at the darkening sky, occasionally glancing at his friends but staying quiet, sensing the weight of Jungkook’s silence.

Jungkook’s mind, however, was elsewhere... on Taehyung. His thoughts swirled with uncertainty. How would he approach him? What would he say? The conversation they needed to have hung heavily in the air, but Jungkook couldn’t quite find the right words. His chest tightened with a mixture of anticipation and anxiety. He kept replaying past moments, searching for a way to bridge the gap between them.

Yoongi glanced briefly in the rearview mirror, noticing the quiet tension, but said nothing. He knew better than to interrupt Jungkook’s internal debate.

As the skyline of Daegu came into view, Yoongi finally broke the silence, his voice soft but steady.

“Jungkook, we’ve entered Daegu,” he said, his eyes still focused on the road ahead.

“I know it’s hard, but you need to calm yourself down. I can feel how anxious you are,” he added, his tone gentle yet reassuring. “I know you can’t fully shake it off, but you have to be strong.”

His words were carefully chosen, spoken with the kind of quiet understanding Yoongi was known for. He didn’t push Jungkook, but there was a subtle encouragement in his voice, as if he knew exactly how heavy the younger one’s thoughts were.

Jungkook slowly turned his gaze from the window, his eyes reflecting the weight he had been carrying throughout the entire ride. His chest felt tight, his pulse quickening with every mile they covered. Yoongi’s words were grounding, but the fear inside him was still hard to contain. He let out a shaky breath before answering.

“I’m trying, Hyung,” Jungkook said, his voice barely above a whisper, laced with uncertainty. “I really am.” He paused, biting his lip, eyes flickering between the road ahead and the rearview mirror, where Yoongi’s calm eyes glanced back at him.

“It’s just... I’m scared.” His words came out heavier now, as if admitting it aloud made the fear more real. “I don’t know how he’s going to react when I see him.”

Yoongi nodded, his attention still on the road, but there was a flicker of understanding in his expression.

“It’s natural to be scared,” he said softly. “But sometimes, the only way to find out is to face it. You don’t have to know how he’ll react, just be honest with him. That’s what matters.”
