After leaving Taehyung at the university, Jungkook took a deep breath, knowing the confrontation he was about to face.

He drove to his mansion, his house. He’d tried to make his parents understand him before, but they had dismissed his feelings, ignored the depth of his connection to Taehyung.

This time, though, he was determined to make himself heard.

As he entered, his parents were already waiting, their expressions tense and unreadable. His mother broke the silence first.

“Jungkook."

"Mom, dad, i'm here to talk about me and Taehyung, the boy i love."

"we thought you had moved on from.. that boy,” she said, her voice laced with disapproval.

His father stepped forward, his gaze hard. “This is the last time we’re discussing this, Jungkook. Your future is at stake, as well as our family’s reputation. How can you ruin it all for a poor, insignificant boy like him?”

Jungkook clenched his fists, his patience waning.

“This ‘insignificant boy’ has a name. His name is Taehyung, and he’s the love of my life. You don’t see what I see. You don’t know the kindness, strength, and intelligence he has. You’re only focused on his background and his gender.”

His father’s face hardened. “It’s about standards, Jungkook. We didn’t raise you to throw your life away like this. He has nothing to offer you.. no status, no wealth. And if you choose him, we will have no choice but to disown you.”

Jungkook’s heart pounded as he listened, but this time, he didn’t waver. “Disown me, then,” he replied, his voice steady. “If being your son means living up to some empty standard, sacrificing my happiness just to keep up appearances, then I don’t want it."

His mother’s eyes softened for a moment, but his father’s face remained cold.

“Is this really the life you want, Jungkook? To struggle, to be looked down upon?”

Jungkook nodded. “Yes. If that means I get to be with someone who truly loves me, then yes. I’m prepared to face all of that. Because Taehyung isn’t just a phase or a rebellion. He’s my future.”

He took a step back, his resolve unwavering, his gaze fierce.

“If you can’t support me, then I’m walking away. But don’t think for a second that I’ll ever regret choosing Taehyung.”

Without waiting for their response, Jungkook turned and walked away, feeling a weight lift from his shoulders.

For the first time, he had finally freed himself from the expectations that had chained him, stepping fully into the life he wanted with Taehyung by his side.

Leaving his house, Jungkook felt both a sense of loss and newfound clarity. The finality of his words weighed heavily on him, but he knew he had made the right choice.

Taehyung meant more to him than any wealth, reputation, or family approval. With a deep breath, he drove back toward the university, eager to see Taehyung again, to find comfort in the one person who truly understood him.

Back at the university, Taehyung was enduring the stares and whispers of his classmates. He kept his head high, reminding himself of Jungkook's love and support. Even though he felt their judgment pressing down on him, he was determined to prove he belonged here.

When his class ended, Taehyung stepped out of the lecture hall, only to find Jungkook waiting for him just outside. The sight of Jungkook’s familiar, warm smile brought him instant relief, his anxieties melting away.
