"Taehyung's mother passed away last night."

Jungkook's eyes widened in shock as he heard Yoongi's words.

Jungkook whispered yelled in shock, "What do you mean, hyung?"

Yoongi spoke, his voice laced with sadness, "His mother was diagnosed with cancer and despite Taehyung's efforts to save her, his family's financial situation wasn't enough, and she passed away last night."

Jungkook's voice trembled as he asked, "H..how's Taehyung doing now, hyung?"

Yoongi spoke in a somber tone, "Taehyung is strong. He's been through a lot, struggles, poverty. He's endured a tough life so far."

Jungkook asked, his eyes welling up slightly, "Hyung, are you really that close with Tae?"

Yoongi shook his head, explaining, "I knew him, but we're not close. I've seen him juggling part-time jobs, studying diligently at the library while everyone was partying but i learned the details from Jimin, as you already know he's Tae's best friend."

Jungkook glanced at Jimin, who was sitting across from him on the couch.

Jimin broke the silence, saying, "Jungkook, I know a lot about you. I've heard plenty from other students at the university, about how wealthy you are and that your father is one of the richest man in Korea."

He continued, "But do you know much about Tae? He comes from a different world than you, Jungkook. He doesn't belong to a privileged background. At least, that's how he sees himself."

Jungkook sat quietly, his head hung low, taking in Jimin's words.

Jimin then added, "I know very little about your relationship, he didn't tell me anything either after the day you two met in the restaurant and left together, but I can sense your concern for him just by looking at your eyes."

Jimin posed the questions, looking straight at Jungkook, "Can you fight for him? Could you love him exactly as he is? And, are you...are you ready to give up your privileged life if society rejects your relationship with him?"

Jungkook raised his head, gazes locking with Jimin's. A visible gulp bobbed in his throat, eyes welling with tears.

Yoongi observed the emotional scene unfold and stood up, breaking the silence, "Jimin listen..."

"I can...."

Jungkook cut in, his voice filled with determination.

Yoongi froze, surprised by Jungkook's response. He and Jimin exchanged glances, curious about what came next.

Jungkook affirmed, his voice tinged with longing, "Hyung, I'll do whatever it takes to have him in my life."

Unable to hold back his emotions any longer, Jungkook broke into tears, "I love him so much; I can't let him go."

Yoongi was taken aback, never expecting Jungkook to change so drastically. He was aware that Jungkook held feelings for Taehyung, but the depth of his emotions now surprised him even more.

With a hint of resignation, Jungkook disclosed, "My dad had arranged my marriage with a girl, so i just revealed the truth about my feelings for Taehyung."

Yoongi's surprise was evident as his eyes widened, and he questioned, "Wait, you came out to your family about your feelings for Taehyung?"

Jungkook nodded and Yoongi inquired more, "What was uncle aunty's reaction when you told them about Taehyung?"

Jungkook continued, voice choked with emotion, "They didn't accept it, just as I thought. You know them, Hyung. They care more about their reputation than anything else. They slapped me and I stormed out of the house."
