"Fucked Up Beyond Repair"I lay there, staring at the ceiling, my mind reeling. What the hell had just happened? Violet's apology still echoed in my ears, but it was too late. I'd already fucked up my chances with Charlotte.
Violet had gotten up, walked out, and closed the door behind her, leaving me in a tangled mess of emotions. I didn't know what to think, what to feel. All I knew was that I'd royally screwed up.
The next morning, I woke up at 6 AM, mechanically getting ready for another miserable day. Downstairs, I grabbed my favorite butter toast, but even that couldn't lift my mood.
Charlotte glared at me from across the table, her eyes flashing with anger. "You're really something, Iris," she spat, before storming out of the room.
"Fuck," I muttered under my breath. This was getting worse by the minute.
I climbed onto the bus, enveloped in dead silence. No one spoke to me, no one looked at me. I was a pariah.
What the hell was I supposed to do now? Apologize? Explain? I didn't even know what I'd done wrong. All I knew was that Violet had walked out, and Charlotte hated me.
The bus ride was agonizing, every mile feeling like an eternity. My mind raced with worst-case scenarios. Had I lost Charlotte forever? Had I pushed Violet away for good?
As the bus pulled up to school, I felt a sense of dread wash over me. Today was going to be a long day.
I stepped off the bus, into the crisp morning air, unsure of what lay ahead. But one thing was certain – I'd fucked up, and now I had to face the consequences.
