Once a beacon of hope and salvation, now filled to the brim with gangs and corruption. One of the scariest things in New Ninjago City was the ninjas.
No, not the new ninjas.
The old ones.
After the defeat of the Overlord, peace was supposed to return. The city should've been safe, thriving. But one incident changed everything. One of their own was transformed into what the world saw as a monster. No one cared that he had saved their lives countless times. People fear what they can't understand, and they couldn't understand him. They turned on him.
That betrayal changed the ninja's perspective forever.
They had risked their lives, fought endless battles, and protected the city with everything they had. But the people were quick to turn their backs at the first sign of difference. And even before that, after everything the ninja had done, they were still shoved aside when the 'new' ninjas came onto the scene—flashier, safer, more acceptable.
They were sick of it.
Why defend a city that would never be grateful?
