Nightshade emerged from the swirling darkness of the Void, his tall, lanky form silhouetted against the bright skies of Equestria.
His raw, crimson skin glimmered in the sunlight as he took his first steps into this vibrant world with no memories of his past just appearing feeling lost and confused.
The scent of blooming flowers filled the air, a stark contrast to the cold emptiness he had known for so long.
Curiosity guided him as he roamed through a lush meadow, marveling at the colorful landscape and the soft sounds of nature surrounding him.As Nightshade wandered deeper into Ponyville, he noticed a peculiar gray mare a Pegasus to be exact with crossed eyes. It was Derpy, carrying a stack of mail. She paused, looking at him with a mix of surprise and delight. "Wow! You're tall! Are you a new friend?" she exclaimed, her smile wide. Nightshade hesitated but managed a nod. "I... just arrived. I'm trying to learn about this place."
"Learning is fun! I can show you around!" Derpy chirped, her enthusiasm infectious. She began to trot along, chatting animatedly about the town's quirks."This is where we have muffins! And over there is the bakery best treats ever!" Nightshade listened intently, captivated by her energy. "Muffins? What are those?" he asked, his curiosity piqued. Derpy giggled, "Oh, you have to try one! They're like little cakes you can hold in your hoof. My favorite is blueberry!"
Nightshade was soon drawn to a quaint little park where music floated through the air. There, he spotted Octavia, the elegant cellist, practicing under a shady tree. Intrigued, he approached, careful to not startle her.
"That sounds beautiful," he said, his voice low and rich. Octavia looked up, her expression shifting from surprise to a soft smile. "Thank you! It's rare to see new faces around here. Do you play?"
"No, but I appreciate music," he replied, feeling a warmth spread within him. "It reminds me of life." Octavia raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Life can be (chaotic) but music brings harmony. Would you like to try playing?"
Octavia gestured to her cello. Nightshade hesitated but took a step closer. "I don't know if I'm worthy of such an instrument."
"Everyone has a voice," she encouraged, handing him the bow. "Just let your heart guide you." With precision; Nightshade drew the bow across the strings, producing an odd, echoing sound.
Octavia chuckled lightly. "It's a start! Just feel the rhythm." With her guidance, he found himself immersed in the music, each note echoing his journey from darkness to light.
As he continued exploring, he stumbled upon Dr. Hooves, who was inspecting the ground with an array of curious instruments. "Fascinating," the brown stallion muttered, noticing Nightshade's approach.
"A new creature in Equestria! Fascinating indeed!" Nightshade raised an eyebrow, feeling slightly anxious. "What do you mean?"
Dr. Hooves adjusted his glasses, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "Your physiology is unlike anything I've seen! The crimson skin are you a new species?
How do you function? You must allow me to analyze you!" Nightshade hesitated, sensing the doctor's genuine interest but unsure of his own willingness to be studied.
"I'm... still learning about myself too," he admitted, his voice quieter.
"Of course! Take your time," Dr. Hooves replied, nodding understandingly. "Equestria is a place for discovery, and you're welcome to explore at your own pace. If you ever feel ready, I'd be happy to help."
Nightshade appreciated the doctor's respect for his boundaries, feeling more at ease. "Thank you. I think I'll take you up on that offer someday."
As he ventured further, he encountered a small group of fillies playing in the park. They giggled and chased each other, their laughter ringing like music. One of them, Sweetie Belle, noticed him and exclaimed, "Hey, who's that?"
The other fillies turned to stare, their expressions a mix of awe and curiosity. "He looks like a monster!" exclaimed Scootaloo, though her eyes sparkled with excitement.
Nightshade knelt down, trying to appear less intimidating. "I'm not a monster. Just someone looking for a place to belong." The fillies exchanged glances, then approached him cautiously.
"I'm Apple Bloom! Wanna play with us?" she offered. "We're trying to earn our Cutie Marks!" Nightshade smiled at their innocence. "What kind of Cutie Marks?"
"We're gonna try everything!" Sweetie Belle said enthusiastically. "But we haven't figured it out yet." Nightshade chuckled.
"Perhaps I can help you with that. I may not know much about your games, but I can help you think outside the box." The fillies' eyes lit up, and soon they were brainstorming ideas, sharing laughter and stories.
As Nightshade's day unfolded, he felt a growing connection to the land and its inhabitants. He had started as an outsider, emerging from the shadows, but now he was beginning to find his place among the bright colors of Equestria.
Each interaction, each smile, chipped away at the remnants of his past, revealing a heart eager to embrace friendship. In this land of magic and joy, Nightshade realized he was not just learning about Equestria he was discovering himself, a new chapter unfolding with every step.
After getting done playing with the fillies Nightshade continued his exploration of Ponyville, he found himself drawn to a lively marketplace bustling with activity. Vendors shouted their wares, and the air was filled with the tantalizing aroma of baked goods and fresh produce. While observing the cheerful chaos, he caught sight of two ponies engaged in animated conversation nearby.
"Did you hear about Discord?" one pony remarked, his voice slightly raised. Nightshade instinctively leaned closer, curiosity piqued.
"I heard he pulled another prank on Applejack the other day. She was so mad she almost turned him into a carrot!"
The other pony chuckled. "Right? I can't believe he still has the gall to mess with her! You'd think he'd learn by now, but he's just so... unpredictable!"
Nightshade's brow furrowed as he listened intently. The mention of Discord, the chaotic spirit, sparked something within him—a reminder of the darkness he had fled.
The first pony continued, "Honestly, though, you have to admire him. He's a creature of pure chaos, and yet he can be so... out of order when he wants to be. It's like he thrives on keeping everyone on their toes!"
Nightshade couldn't help but feel a pang of longing. "Charming chaos?" he whispered to himself, recalling the emptiness of the Void,
"Yeah, but sometimes it gets out of hoof," the second pony replied. "Last week, he turned the whole town upside down for a day! He can be a real nuisance."
Nightshade stepped back, considering their words. Nightshade fell down recalling memories of being as incarnation of Discord magic,
nightshade starts to breathe very fast with memories flowing through him of the past and eventually he collapses
Nightshade took a shaky breath, feeling the dread coming back to him slowly seeping into his, mouth and than eventually his mind reminding him of who he was and his purpose to seek retribution against the gods. That joke of a good Celestia will pay mumbled Nightshade.
Nightshade disregarded the kindness the citizens showed him he teleported away ready to concoct a plan of dealing with celestia knowing her power Nightshade had to be careful.
Nightshade embraced himself as a creature of chaos he finally remembered everything ready to enact on his journey to tear down the gods!
