Rose glanced at Albus and exclaimed, "I heard that Professor Slughorn is back for this lesson!"

"Great." Albus adjusted his Slytherin robe that was falling off his shoulder, "Sixth year will be a great start with him."

"It will, he is really quite extraordinary."

Albus rolled his eyes, watching his cousin's smile grow on her lips. It was the second day back at Hogwarts for sixth year, and Albus had already started internally dreading the year.

Harry had told Albus about all of the times he had shared with Slughorn, and it was obvious that Harry was a favourite student for him. Naturally, Slughorn took a liking to Albus, which he found odd considering he had never actually stood out in Potions class. It was a bit annoying, Albus always thought. He was constantly invited to the Slug Club, and after First year, he never dared enter again.

"I think that Slughorn will finally invite me to the club this year!" Rose looked back at Albus, who had trailed behind her on the staircase.

"Yeah?" Albus flashed his brows, looking at the paintings moving further and further away from him, "Maybe."

"Well, I am guaranteed to be his top student this year. I have revised almost everything in the Sixth Year Potion brewing, Mastery of Potion-making and even The Advanced Potion Making book!"

"Isn't the last one outdated?" Albus perked an eyebrow up at the book name, "Half of the Potions didn't brew correctly with it."

"Some of them do!" Rose smiled back at Albus, who looked unsure.

"Well, it's good to know in case if he asks a question about the History of Hogwarts Potions!" Rose smiled brightly, her hair swinging side to side as she walked off the staircase.

Rose's ginger hair cascades in vibrant waves, catching the light with fiery hues that range from deep copper to bright auburn. It frames her face beautifully, often falling just past her shoulders, and has a natural bounce that adds to her lively personality. The color is striking, making her stand out in any crowd, and it perfectly complements her bright blue eyes.

"I doubt he's going to ask a question about the History of Potions, Rose." Albus interrupted her enthusiasm, "Admit it, it was a waste of time."

"Nothing is a waste of time, Albus." She argued, "I know now that there was only one book owned by Severus Snape that correctly worked!"

"I know that from my Dad, I didn't need to read the book for it."

"You don't read books, that's why." Rose smirked, watching Albus' face drop.

"I do read!" Albus protested, "You know I aced Dark Arts!"

"You're lucky I don't take Dark Arts," Rose shrugged, "I think I'd be too good for you to even compete."

"That's why your forehead is so big." Albus pointed at his own forehead, "You're too egotistical, I can't wait for someone to be better at Potions than you."

"It'll never happen, you say it every year."

As Rose and Albus approached Potions class, they were both a bit nervous but excited. Rose, always confident in her abilities, was ready to tackle the day's lesson, while Albus felt a mix of anticipation and anxiety. Rose knew this, as Albus had a constant fight with Potions class - she supported him, helping her cousin whenever the opportunity came. Albus was grateful for it, but it could be embarrassing when everybody seemed to know what they were doing apart from himself.

"Ah!" A voice appeared from the doorway, "Albus, my boy! You haven't changed at all!"

"Professor." Albus smiled, "How have you been?"
