30 minutes later
"Dude where is he, this is not cool!" Ned whined into Elijah's ears making him step a little to the side.
"I don't know, maybe you should try calling him?" Elijah told Ned, who started nodding in agreement and took out his phone. He stealthy brings up his phone to his ear looking around nervously to see if anyone is watching making Elijah frown. "You're just calling dude, you're not on a top secret mission." Elijah said sarcastically.
After a minute of ringing Ned only reached Peter's voicemail. "Hey, this is Peter leave a message." could be loudly heard from the phone. "Peter, where are you? The hat's not working.... This is not cool!" Ned repeated the words he whined to Elijah before.
"Maybe something came up." Elijah said while he leaned onto a pillar while taking a bite of a meatball.
Ned was nervously fidgeting with his hands as people in the party walked past him and showed a disgusted look on his face. "This is so not cool." He repeated to himself.
"What if something happened to him!?" Ned said while grabbing Elijah's shoulder in an anxious way making Elijah drop his meatball.
"Dude, my meatball." Elijah said, sadly pointing to the floor. "Look I'm sure it's fine. Peter can handle himself." Elijah said as he noticed Ned's worried look.
"Elijah, this is not okay." Ned continued.
Elijah glanced at the sad, sauce-smeared meatball on the floor, then looked back at Ned with a smirk. "Yeah, tell that to my meatball," he said, giving a mock sigh of regret. "It never even saw the light, Ned. Taken out in the prime of its life." He shook his head sarcastically.
Ned stared at him, still worried, but cracked a smile. "Dude, you're so weird."
Elijah shrugged. "Just trying to lighten the mood here. Besides, Peter's gonna walk in any minute, probably with some lame excuse, and you'll forget all about my poor, fallen meatball."
"Don't you have some weird Stark tech so you can find him?" Ned kept pushing Elijah to do something about their missing friend.
Elijah was holding a new meatball in his hand looking blank at Ned clearly annoyed he would not let him enjoy this meatball. He rolled his eyes and put the meatball back. "Fine, come on."
Ned followed Elijah outside to a spot where no one was. Elijah took out some tech from his pocket and turned it on making some hologram appear making Ned gasp. "Wow." He said as he reached with his hand to poke it, but Elijah stopped him slapping away his hand.
"Okay look, my dad put a tracker into his suit so I should be able to hack into his servers and track him. Got him." Elijah said as a red dot appeared on his map.
"Awesome. So are you gonna go get him?" Ned said.
"I would, but I didn't bring my suit." Elijah said while frowning making Ned look disappointed. Elijah turns off the tech and puts it back into his pocked suddenly widening his eyes. "But, I have been working on something. I'm just not sure it's gonna work."
"Well what is it?" Ned asked curiously.
Elijah looked around making sure people weren't around and he stepped into a more open spot. "Stand back." He said.
He cracked his fingers and took a deep breath in before striking an action pose. Nothing happened.
Ned looked at him with his mouth open. "So what's supposed to happen?"
"Sssh." Elijah said keeping to the pose squinting his eyes. "My dad had this issue at first as well, just give it some time."
"Okay, but-" Ned spoke up but got cut off by a loud metal part flying in hitting Elijah on his back.
Ned covered his eyes with his hands afraid of what happened, but slowly removed them and saw a red with black suit covering Elijah's entire body making his jaw drop open again. "Dude!"
Elijah stood up straight but then bended backwards a little his hand reaching to his back. "God, I gotta lower the power on that. That hurt like a son of a-"
"Go get Peter." Ned cut him off.
"Right." Elijah pointed to Ned and closed his mask taking off immediately after.

Elijah flies as fast as he can when he sees a van zoom down the suburban street. Smoke is billowing out from the back of it. Suddenly a figure comes swinging in, narrowly missing the car. He recognises the figure to be Peter and flies in to get closer.
"Almost got you." He hears Peter say as he knocks over some garbage bins in his attempt to leap up onto a roof. Running across the roofs of neighbouring houses, Peter tries his best to keep the van in sight. "Thought you got away from me, didn't you? I got you right where I want you."
"Hey man what are you doing." Elijah speaks up making Peter jump a little.
"Oh, hey. Uhhh" Peter tries to catch his breath. "Oh, you know, just your friendly neighbourhood trash collector—thought I'd take out a few bins while I'm at it!"
"Oh wow, does it pay well?" Elijah replies flying on the same tempo as Peter is running.
"What's with the new suit!?" Peter yells as he is finally catching up to the van jumping toward it.
"Surprise!" Peter screams out ready to throw a punch, but suddenly, a weird guy snatches him from behind, flying in the wing suit, and soars high. Peter screams, looking down.
"What the hell?" Elijah says as he watches in shock.
Peter wrestles to pull his leg free from the flying bird man's grasp. Noticing the struggle, he sets his glowing eyes at Peter menacingly and carries him even higher. Suddenly, the spider drawn on the back of Peter's suit starts to beep and blink. A parachute unfolds itself from the hidden compartment. The air resistance from it makes, rips Peter from the flying bird man's grasp. During his descent, Peter gets wrapped up in the fabric.
Elijah hears Peter scream as he is falling and immediately starts flying after him, but his suit being a prototype is running out of power.
"Hold on!!" Elijah yells out, going as fast as he can.
Peter plunges into a lake. He struggles to free himself from the parachute as he sinks deeper and deeper.
Elijah looks down and tries to scan where his best friend is, but fails. When suddenly he sees a figure dives into the water in an admirably fast speed. Iron Man emerges, carrying Peter. Holding him under his arms. Peter's head hang slumped. The eyes on his mask blink open. Elijah shows a sign of relief, but at the same time he feels a sign of betrayal, seeing his father here. Being aware of Peter being in danger, but not being there for his own son.
He sees the Iron Man suit carry Peter to the shore, and Elijah decides to follow after them.
