A Body Reborn, a Soul Torn

The moon floated high in the night sky, its cold light shining over the deserted area. The atmosphere was full of tension. In one corner stood Mahito and Geto, untouchable, full of confidence. Opposite them was Kokichi Muta – but no more than the mechanical Mechamaru. No, he was more than that now. He had a real body.

The liberation from the pain that had accompanied him all his life was unreal. His limbs were no longer made of metal, his movements were no longer determined by cold mechanics. For the moment, he felt almost ... human. But the price he had paid was high. He had given up all his cursed energy in the hope of living a life as a normal person. But Geto and Mahito had their own plans. They didn't want a simple exchange, they wanted information - secrets about the Jujutsu High and the Jujuzists who protected them.

Kokichi remembered the moment when he made this fateful decision. Deep down, he had known there was no turning back when he accepted the trade. His revealing role weighed heavily on him, but he justified it for himself:

I do it for Miwa. I do it for myself.

The idea of finally being able to face Miwa as he had always dreamed of - without barriers, without machines standing between them - gave him the strength to continue. But now, in the cold reality of this fight, he had to face Geto and Mahito before he could even approach this future.

Mahito grinned and took a step forward. "I hope you're ready, Mechamaru. Your wish came true, but you know what that means."

Kokichi withstood the gaze, his new, human hand clenched into a fist. "I'm ready," he said calmly, though a storm was raging inside him.

I have no choice. If I don't win now, it was all in vain.

The fight began, and Mahito was the first to move. His distorted, constantly changing fingers stretched out to Kokichi. Kokichi could see how Mahito applied his soul manipulation – a technique that he had observed and analyzed from a distance over the years. Mahito was able to manipulate the soul of a person and thus change its physical form, a merciless and deadly attack. But at that moment Kokichi was prepared.

With a precise movement, he dodged Mahito's grip and used a technique that he had developed in all these years of observation: a lightning-fast wave of curse energy, which he threw directly at Mahito. The attack hit Mahito hard and shook him, but he just laughed. "You're fast, I have to give you that," he sneered as he straightened up again. "But speed alone won't save you." Said Geto with a smirk plasterd on his face.

Kokichi knew that this was just the beginning. Mahito was unpredictable, and Geto was strategically saversed. But he had not studied the abilities and weaknesses of these two for years to give up now.

Geto watched the fight from a distance, his gaze calm and calculating. Kokichi knew that Geto was waiting for the right moment. His specialty was controlling cursed spirits, and Kokichi had already seen many of these creatures in action. Geto's curses could appear in countless forms, and each of them was deadly. But Kokichi had made his own preparations.

With a sudden movement, Geto evoked a wave of curses - shadowy, threatening figures that rose from the ground and pounced on Kokichi. Kokichi reached deep into his box of experience and used a defensive technique that he had refined over the years. A curse shield, which he formed from his remaining curse energy to fend off the attacks. But he knew he couldn't defend forever.

While the curses hit the shield, Kokichi used a moment of distraction to launch another attack against Mahito. With a clever leap, he escaped the shield and stormed towards Mahito, his fists enveloped by the last curse energy left in his body. The blow hit Mahito, and for a moment it seemed as if Kokichi had gained the upper hand.

But then Mahito's form changed abruptly. His body twisted, his figure became grotesque as he manipulated his own soul to make Kokichi's attack go nowhere. "You can't beat me with simple tricks, Mechamaru," Mahito said as he reshaped himself.

Kokichi could feel his energy slowly waning. The body he now possessed was powerful, but without his usual cursed energy, he was not designed to stand up against such opponents. But he couldn't give up now.

For Miwa, for this life I want,

he thought.

His mind wandered for a brief moment back to the agreement that had led him here. Geto and Mahito had promised him to heal his body, to free him from the pain that had determined his life. In return, they demanded information. Kokichi had revealed the secrets – the weaknesses of the Jujutsu college, the strategies of the Jujuzists, everything he knew.

I sold myself,

he thought bitterly,

but what else was left for me?

Again, a violent blow from Mahito led him out of his thoughts. This time it was Geto, who interfered, packed his curses around Kokichi, ready to devour him. But Kokichi was faster, activating another technique that he had perfected over the years - an explosive wave of curse energy that smashed the curses and pushed Geto back.

But he knew that this tactic would not work forever. His reserves were limited, and time was against him. Nevertheless, he refused to give up.

I have to persevere. I have to defeat them, otherwise I will never see Miwa again.

In his thoughts, he always imagined what it would be like to meet her in this new body. No metal, no machines – just him, a person, just like them. The fantasy of touching her, smiling at her and confessing his feelings to her drove him. It was this vision that gave him the strength to keep fighting, even if his body reached its limits.

The fighting continued to rage, every blow, every attack was an act of survival. Kokichi could see how Geto and Mahito slowly began to use their more serious techniques, but he had no other choice.

I won't back down. I will live.
