Heather was startled awake... Her body and sweat drenched her body, not just from the scare but also from a long night rest.
Loud sounds of cannons and the almost never-ending sounds of Clangorous armor that happened to be downstairs in the throne room, just past the magenta draped railings and the marble staircase was knights, who'd fallen in kind.In front of her stood her sister, a dark hood covering her head, dagger in the sheathe that stood on her left leg. Her hands are heavy on Heather's shoulders, nervous sweat flowing over onto Heather's white shirt. Heather looked over to the side or her bed, grabbing her handmade iron sword.
"They're here to take me away." Justine spouted, her voice cracking, her eyes locked onto Heather, and she was holding back tears. She rushes over to Heather's chest, now sobbing, her arms tightly wrapped around her, Queen Heather spoke with great determination in her voice, "I won't let them, not again.
Justine releases briskly, Heather smiles at her before sliding on her shoes and moves towards the door. Screams can be heard from the royal guards downstairs, Heather rushes into the fray, slashing down foe after foe, knight after knight until there's no one left. Heather turns around to see Justine watching from atop the banister, just before a deep smog covered the bloodied floor of the throne room, before the queen stood a figure, a figure born from ashes, her plated armor carried the family crest but wasn't discernable, it adorned a different hue and tone, her skin flickered with a constant red glow, her eyes gleamed with a fiery hypnotic stare, her duel blades hung at her side, a chain connecting them both at each end.
Heather stood ready for a fight, grasping her iron sword with both hands, Heather ran forward, her swings easily countered by the opposition, her energy waining with every intended slash, with every brutal push, she did not land a single blow, somehow she was powerless, this enemy showed no weakness, it gave no quarter. With one fell swoop of the handle on one of the monsters duel blades, the price was paid, Heather fell to her knees before falling to ground almost unconscious. She watched as the lethal creature walked past her, leeching onto her sisters hand with its oversized arms , and dragging her out of the knocked over giant doors that once covered Heather's safe haven, the only word Heather could say before disappearing into darkness were "Don't" before finally fading into black.
