Monday arrived faster than Aria could blink, bringing her back to work. It was the first day of rehearsal for the grand re-opening, and the women of Pynk Pyramids were spread out in front of the main stage, stretching and chatting. The floor gleamed, freshly redone, and all the furniture had been replaced at Nasir's orders, leaving ample space for practice.
"Alright, ladies," Aria called out, clapping her hands to grab attention. "Before we dive into the routine, I want to assess everyone's skills."
She looked around, her gaze landing on the eager faces. "So, who here feels confident with pole work? Raise your hands!"
Sapphire, Star, Cherry, Lola, and Mz. Houzton shot their hands up, while others looked uncertain.
"Great! You five will start on the pole. The rest of you will focus on the dance section."
Just as Aria was about to cue the music, Kourtney piped up, crossing her arms defiantly. "Um, I don't want to dance. I want to work the pole."
Aria raised an eyebrow, taken aback. "Okay, but you didn't raise your hand earlier..."
Kourtney shrugged. "I didn't know we had to dance. I don't dance."
Before Aria could respond, Taytum interjected with a grin, "Well, today you're dancing, boo. Angel, you can kick things off."
Kourtney rolled her eyes but fell back in line, silence enveloping her as she reluctantly complied.
Aria pressed play on her phone, and Usher's "Good Kisser" filled the air. She counted silently, preparing for her cue. With confidence, she executed the routine as if performing for a crowd, every movement fluid and inviting. The women watched closely, absorbing her style.
The choreography was subtle yet sensual, fitting for a strip club. Aria kept it sexy and straightforward, believing the dancers would pick it up easily. Once the dance portion was complete, she restarted the song and transitioned to the pole tricks she planned to incorporate.
