The Autobots were anxious for their leader and Lily to come back, pacing the floor while dozens of times, unable to keep still.
"Where do you think he took her?" asked Bulkhead.
"At this time of night, probably someplace romantic." Smokescreen said with a grin, earning matching looks of glee from the others. They all noticed Optimus' distracted behavior since last night and knew, they KNEW it had to do with Lily. When he had taken her out of the base, they all betted on what was gonna happen, the majority saying they'd get together.
The sound of a vehicle approaching from outside informed them of the duo's return, the bots running to see them. Footsteps came through the main entrance just as they arrived.
"Boss, where did you-"
Wheeljack started the questioning, but he was abruptly stopped along with everyone else at what they saw come through the door.
A happy couple almost gliding across the floor with their steps, the human girl on the arm of the Autobot leader. Her own arms were wrapped tightly around his as she side-hugged him, her eyes closed with a smile and blush. He kept his gaze solely on her with a soft grin.
The Autobot's were frozen, all their jaws open.

"YYYYEEEESSSS!!!!!!!!"
In a flash they ran and crowded the two. All talking over each other, Optimus and Lily couldn't barely make out the various congratulations and how it was finally time. Both blushed at the frantic attention.
It took maybe six or so minutes before they finally broke away from the group. And broke away meaning actually thrusting themselves out of the circle and practically running down the hall, causing laughter to erupt from the Autobots.
"We're just having fun! Congrats, really!"
"You did good, Optimus!"
"This'll be the love story of the century!"

Optimus took her home, staying for a moment to help her into bed and kiss her goodnight. Tucked under her covers, she giggled as she drifted off, dreaming about the upcoming days that would follow their newly founded love. All was right in the world.
But not for long...
As sleep kept Lily under its spell, a bridge opened in her room. The figure that stepped out was dark and sleek, not one of her friends. Her reflection was caught in the glass screen of his face as he stared at her. Making his way to her bedside, his footsteps light, he reached for her and pulled her into his arms.
He held her in a way so the flat, sharp shape of his arms wouldn't jab and wake her. The movement did not disturb her, making the abduction easier. In less than a minute since he came, he was gone.
Taking Lily with him.
