Two Worlds, Connected by Love

Chapter 5

The first thing Lily did when she woke up was reach for her bedside table, wanting to grasp the bridge key and make sure that yesterday wasn't a wonderful dream. Her fingers found it, and she grinned. It wasn't a dream. It was all real.

"Best day of my life." She said to herself. Jumping out of bed she skipped down the stairs for breakfast, very eager to start her day by getting to Cybertron as soon as possible. She mused over options of what would happen, maybe they would teach her more about their kind or show her maps of the rest of the planet. She wanted to know anything and everything she could about them and their world.

She wanted to be a part of their world.

A quick breakfast was followed by making lunch for later, packing it in a bag, and racing to get dressed. Throwing on a cute sundress and flats with ankle ribbons, then doing her hair in a simple braid, she got her phone and charger, some things she wanted to show the bots like her artbook, and once she grabbed her lunch she typed in Cybertron on the remote and headed off.

"Hey!" Most of the team were present when she arrived and she waved at them happily.

"Hey, Lily!" Everyone said back, Smokescreen moving to her and putting a hand on her back. "What 'cha got?"

"Oh, just my lunch for later and some things I wanted to show you today. I get to learn more about you guys and it seems fair that you get to learn more about me."

"Fair deal."

"Looking good today, princess." A wink shot in her direction from the flirt of the Autobots. Lily just grinned and waved at him. She figured to reply to Wheeljack with simple happy reactions from now one since he would probably never change.

"Thank you, Wheeljack."

"Come on, we're gonna show you archives with Cybertron's history." Arcee led the way.

"Wait." Lily said. "Where's Optimus?"

"Oh, he's out with Magnus. And Ratchet is in the med bay."

Lily felt a little disappointed, she'd hoped to see the leader first thing. But there'd be time later. So begins her first full day with the Autobots.

For about two hours, the bots and girl spent time diving into Cybertron's history using data pads and the main computer. Of course, the Autobots had to read it to Lily because she couldn't understand their writings, yet the way their language was had her fascinated. She soaked in everything being told to her, and when something sounded like an Earth thing or custom, she'd explain it, bringing them equal fascination.

Currently, Arcee was reading a data pad from shortly before the war began. "The corruption amongst high officials was growing, their better judgment and understanding of poorer cities lessening. Many were targeted by criticism and rebellion. Amongst these rebels was a gladiator, who arose from the deep mines and became greatly famous for his strength and declarations for a better future. Named after one of the original Thirteen Prime, Megatronus had-"

"Wait, Megatronus?" Lily stopped the blue bot's reading. "Is that a longer version for Megatron?"

"Yes. He was a fierce gladiator before he became a warlord."

"Not much of a stretch." Smokescreen said while stretched on a bench. "I mean, a bloody fighter to a bloody tyrant. There's not a big difference."

"Don't say that in front of Optimus. You know it'll affect him."

Lily's attention was peaked. "Why's that?" The bots gave each other looks. Lily wondered what was so important about what was just said. Finally, Arcee said something. "Optimus used to be Orion Pax before the war. When he was Orion, he and Megatronus... were friends."
