Lily did her very hardest not to shake under the stare of Megatron's bloody red eyes. The way he looked at her was hard to decipher, but it sent her into a nervous fit. The warlord in question was delighted by her fear, his gaze trailing over her form. In person and up close, she was lovelier than on the surveillance video. Optimus was so lucky.
Though luck was now on Megatron's side with her in his possession. He waved a hand for Knockout to release her. Lily, though relieved that the claws on her shoulders were gone, felt more dread arising within her.
Megatron addressed his troops. "Leave us."
In seconds, it was only the Decepticon lord and the girl in the room.
Lily's heartbeat was rapid. Her breathing was short and quick. Him staring at her wordlessly did nothing to put her at ease. The silence was intense.
Finally, he spoke.
"So you are the human that has captured Optimus' spark." His fingers tapped against the armrest of his throne. "Curious how a vulnerable creature can make a Cybertronian feel so... lovesick." He exaggerated the word, his claws scrapping the armrest.
Lily shuddered at the shrill scraping. Gulping, she struggled to speak. "Why... why am I here? It's my pendant you really want, not me. I-I'm not of any use to you."
Megatron chuckled. "You're right... a little."
Lily's expression morphed to confusion. "Huh?"
"Yes, the pendant is what I really want, but you are a pleasant addition that I find very useful."
She became more confused. She opened her mouth to start questioning him, but he held up a hand, halting her before she spoke. Pushing himself off the throne, Megatron walked towards her. She gasped and meant to step back, but her feet were stuck in place. So she could only stand there as he drew closer to her as he talked.
"We have searched for the final piece of the Allspark for so long, never imagining it would end up in the hands of a little thing like you. And of course, to add to the disbelief, it protected you from harm."
His eyes moved to her neck, where her hands flew up to cover the gem she wore. He scoffed with a smirk, moving past her with his hands tucked behind his back.
"Aside from that, learning of my enemy's affection for you was incredibly shocking. Optimus has never been one to engage in such emotions, even before the war. But you... what does he see in you?"
Lily could feel his eyes on her, shivers crawling up her skin. She resisted the urge to look behind, instead focusing on in front. His steps walked back to her, stopping just before her back.
Cold hands crept around her head to her chin, lifting it up. Lily met Megatron's eyes from where he stood tall above her, his face upside down from her point of view. Her back was pressed against his solid form. He had her trapped.
She felt like she couldn't breathe, not with his sharp talons pressed against her throat.
"You are beautiful, I admit that." He delicately traced her cheeks. She winced under his touch, which he honestly found cute. "That aside, there are probably some other qualities that make you worthy of such attention from him, or any of our kind."
"St-stop toying with me." She said weakly, her hands coming up to pry his hands away, or try to, at least. He was much stronger than her, not moving an inch.
He laughed at her attempt. "Amusing, too. Perhaps you'll entertain me during your stay."
Letting her go, he turned to the door. "Starscream!" The Decepticon in question arrived at once. "Take her, make sure she's comfortable." Thinner talons grasped the girl's arm and dragged her away, Megatron's sick grin the last thing she saw of him before the door closed.
Starscream took her down a couple hallways, some Decepticons they passed along the way, all alike in appearance (vehicons). Pretty soon, they stopped. The door opened to a room about the size of the med bay, and Starscream shoved her in, leaving without a word.
Lily fumbled with the door in hopes of opening it, but no luck. There was nothing in the room that she could use, either, so her only option was to just sit tight and wait for something to happen, hopefully a rescue.
She slumped against the wall, clutching her pendant. "Optimus will find me. He'll find me."
She repeated the words. But she wasn't fully sure she believed them.
