Chloe's eyes began to open slowly. She could see bright lights above her, but everything was blurry. It was completely silent.
What happened? Did I fall asleep?
She couldn't remember anything for the last... however long it had been. The last thing she remembered was a tall man with green eyes chasing her around. She'd tried to outrun him, but it was no use. In that moment, Chloe wished she'd put in more effort in gym class. It had taken a great hit from Quinn to slow him down, but it ended up being for nothing anyway.
To be fair, he'd had a huge height advantage on her. She remembered him grabbing her from behind, almost like a back hug, except it hadn't been romantic at all. He'd stuck a cloth in front of her face, and from there, everything had gone black.
"Let go of me! Leave me alone!" She pleaded.
"Don't worry, darling. I won't hurt you. I promise, everything is going to be okay," he said, in a deep, slow, suspiciously calm voice.
"You're literally about to hurt me! You're fucking kidnapping me!" Chloe cried.
"This won't hurt a bit, love," he whispered, holding her tighter. It was like he was trying to make something so cruel and heartless seem so loving and sweet. She wasn't falling for it.
But it was too late.
Chloe screamed, and he put a cloth to her mouth. From there, there was nothing.
As she came to her senses and things became more clear, she could make out the features of the room she was in. It was dark and dusty, like an attic or a basement. There were random objects everywhere, like a pool table, an old gaming console, old couches and a variety of vinyl records.
It definitely wasn't her room. Her room smelled of cupcakes, fruit and vanilla. This room smelled like dust, musk, woody cologne and Old Spice. She didn't want to be stereotypical, but she could assume a man, or men, lived here.
"Where am I?" she asked aloud.
"Beats me, girl. But we're fucked."
It was a familiar voice. She looked over to see Talia next to her, against a wall. And then Quinn, Kate and Annie. They were all lined up against the wall.
"Girls!" Chloe exclaimed, happy at first that they were with her. But her excitement quickly went back to fear.
"Where are we?" she cried. "What happened last night? Who kidnapped us? Do you guys have your phones on you? Do we call 999? Do we-"
"Deep breath, Chlo. Panicking isn't going to help us now. At least we're together," said Kate. "We'll come up with a plan, but we'll need time."
Could always count on Kate to be the mom of the group.
Chloe took a deep breath and nodded. "You're right, Kate."
"We gotta figure out how to get our phones back," Annie added. "Pretty sure the guy who got me took my phone after he knocked me out..."
"Same here," Quinn replied. "What an asshole..."
Chloe sighed. Her purse wasn't there, so her phone was definitely gone. Guess 999 would have to wait.
"How long will we be here for?" she asked quietly. "Is there anything we can do to get ourselves out?"
"Hopefully not anything to do with sex like in those books. You know, like the one Twilight fanfiction," Talia joked dryly.
"Don't remind me of that one," Chloe groaned.
"Well, considering that we're fucking handcuffed..." Quinn grumbled.
