"Ava," Liam called out softly, his voice pulling her back. She blinked and looked at him, her throat dry. His eyes were bloodshot, his grip on the scroll tense, like he was holding onto a lifeline. But Ava could see something deeper—a fear that mirrored her own.Victor, who had been watching her closely, took a slow step forward, his voice breaking the silence. "I can see the pieces are starting to come together for you," he said, almost in a whisper. "This isn’t just about the scroll, Ava. It’s about you. It always has been."
Ava’s,"I know but y the hell, I mean how u knows everything?"
Victor tilted his head, his dark eyes gleaming with a mix of amusement and pity. "You know this already. You’ve felt it. The way everything has been leading you here, to this moment. The way the clues have aligned around you—your mother, the secrets, the painting, even the murders. You think it’s a coincidence that you’re caught in this web?"
She opened her mouth to argue, but no words came out. Deep down, some part of her had known this wasn’t random, that it wasn’t just about stumbling across the wrong thing at the wrong time. It was all connected. But how?
Liam, his voice hoarse, finally spoke again. "Ava, when we found that scroll, I didn’t think it was anything more than another dead end. Just another artifact, something to sell, maybe something to solve. But when I looked closer, when I studied those symbols…" He trailed off, his hand shaking slightly as he held the scroll. "They’re ancient. Older than anything we’ve come across before. And they’re tied to something… something dark. A ritual, like Victor said."
Victor’s voice was a low rumble now, almost hypnotic. "A ritual that unlocks power beyond anything you can imagine. But it requires three to perform. You, me, and him." He gestured to Liam, his smile fading as his tone grew more serious. "I’ve been following this for years, Ava. You’re not a pawn in this. You’re the key."
Ava’s head spun as she tried to make sense of it all. She wanted to scream, and go away, But there was a pull—a magnetic force that kept her rooted to the spot, even as her instincts screamed at her to run.
"I don’t care about your ritual or your ancient power," she snapped, her voice cracking with frustration. "I just want out of this nightmare."
Liam whispered,'oh really ava, your what do u mean by your, we are the hypnotic situation just because of you and ..... leftover"Ava Expression was silent,
Victor shook his head, his expression darkening. "There is no way out. The moment you and Liam touched that scroll, you were bound to it. And trust me, you want to see this through. Otherwise, the consequences will be worse than you can imagine."
Ava’s fists clenched. "What do you mean, ‘worse’? What happens if we walk away?"
Victor’s eyes bored into hers, unblinking. "You’ll unleash something far worse than power. The balance between worlds will be broken. And everything you love—everything you know—will be consumed."
Liam’s voice trembled as he spoke. "Ava, I think he’s telling the truth. I’ve been trying to find a way out of this, but… there’s no other option. We’re in this, whether we like it or not."
Ava felt the weight of those words settle over her like a shroud. She wanted to run, to escape this madness, but the truth was sinking in. There was no turning back. She was tethered to this dark, twisted fate, and the only way forward was through it.
"Fine," she said, her voice steady despite the terror bubbling inside her. "But if we’re doing this, we’re doing it on our terms. I don’t trust you, Victor. Not for a second. But I’m not letting anyone else get hurt because of this."
Victor’s smile returned, though it was more of a cold smirk than anything else. "Smart choice, Ava. You’ll see. Soon enough, you’ll understand why this is happening."
Liam let out a slow breath, visibly relieved that Ava wasn’t bolting. He unrolled the scroll, his fingers tracing the ancient symbols etched into the parchment. "We need to figure out what these mean," he said, his voice steadier now. "We can’t just perform this ritual blindly. There’s got to be more to this."
Victor nodded, stepping closer to examine the scroll with them. "The ritual is complicated, but the scroll contains the instructions. It’s written in an ancient language, but I can help decipher it."
Ava’s eyes flicked from Liam to Victor, a cold knot of distrust settling in her gut. She knew Victor wasn’t telling them everything. But what choice did they have? They were in too deep, and if what Victor said was true, walking away wasn’t an option.
"Then let’s get to work," she said, her voice grim. "But if you try anything, Victor—anything—I’ll make sure you regret it."
Victor chuckled softly, unfazed by her threat. "I have no doubt, Ava. But for now, let’s focus on what needs to be done."
As they huddled around the scroll, deciphering the ancient symbols that held the key to their fate, Ava couldn’t shake the feeling that this was only the beginning. The more they unraveled, the deeper they would fall into the darkness. And the more they uncovered, the less certain she was that they would ever make it out alive.
But she couldn’t let that stop her. Not now.
With a deep breath, Ava pushed her fears aside and dove into the mystery that had been waiting for her all along.
As victor decipher the scroll he start saying the ancient symbol written on the scroll," the scroll of veil" he depicts that. Ava looked him with darken eyes.
Victor was whispering and trying to depict it better, he started....
