The flight was uneventful and Harper listened to the band with headphones. He downloaded a bunch of songs from their website. He couldn't help himself.

He bought almost fifty songs and three from an unreleased album. He had them on his phone also and listened to them on the plane. They helped him stay calm.

Harper kept seeing someone coming to get him, kidnap him or hurt him and he didn't know why. He was very nervous and just tried to breathe.

He was just a human of no importance but the fear was real and none of this made sense. It all went back to Eve and whatever she was into. What did she find?

The hotel room was nice and Harper looked in the mirror. He figured jeans and a t-shirt was proper attire. He was an accountant so he normally wore suits and nice ties. He always looked nice so hoped this was okay.

Harper took his phone and dial Zane. "Xactore Accounting." Zane answered. He loved how professional Zane sounded.

"Zane, did you find anything on Mr. Morton?" Harper was curious. He figured Anders Morton broke every human law and several vampire ones.

Zane sighed. "No. Nothing. Sorry, Bossman. You know, he doesn't even have a parking ticket. Nothing. Never been arrested. Ever." He informed his boss.

"Are you sure?" That didn't sound right.

"Positive. He lives alone when he isn't touring and he is close to his bandmates, Lee and Krista. They live close when they're not touring. I made some calls and no one had anything bad to say about him. Nothing bad. His manager, Pierce something? He just told me Anders was a close friend and a really great guy."

Harper cursed. "That doesn't mean that he is innocent, it just means that no one has caught him yet!" He just knew that creep was a bad guy. "Thanks Zane and keep this quiet, please. I don't want to get you hurt."

Zane sighed. "Just be careful and don't worry. I was safe. If something happened to you, I would have to find another job." He joked and Harper laughed as he hung up.

Harper put his phone in his pocket, gave his dark brown hair one more look and rushed out the door.

Harper stood in line to get his backstage pass. There were twenty people. Maybe thirty. It wasn't a large group but he hoped this was worth it. He spent a fortune on this ticket. They were escorted to their seats in the front row and he put the pass around his neck like everyone else. He felt overdressed for this concert.

A girl two seats down was wearing very short shorts and a halter top and clearly no bra. Harper wasn't sure why she needed a top, it wasn't serving a purpose. Her boyfriend clearly enjoyed it though.

Harper shook his head. He could never wear something like that in public. He wasn't comfortable in jeans. He never wore them and preferred dress clothes. He loved looking nice. He couldn't just walk around in short shorts like some of these people or a barely there tank top like the guy next to him. No way. Not happening. The jeans were enough.

The opening band was on stage. They played for about thirty minutes. They were pretty good. Harper guessed that this gave them some practice in front of large crowds. He was waiting for Anders. Was he nervous? He wiped his hands on his jeans.

The opening band finished and left while they were setting up for the Taboo Origin, people cheered and hollered at the roadies. Harper thought that was ridiculous. People were stupid. This was Harper's very first concert so he wasn't sure what to expect.
